Victory in 2016. The left may well regret this week (vanity)

I think there is a distinct possibility that these two disastrous rulings by the USSC may have finally woken up the sleeping Silent Majority.

The libs are dancing in the streets now but in Nov. 2016, they may be regret getting what they wished for.

The fact is that most blacks and Latinos are against gay marriage.

I think the Dems are in for a major defeat in 2016, on all fronts.

Maybe I'm being optimistic. But I don't think so.

I’m more and more coming from the position that the way to implement conservatism and freedom is to be conservative and free in your daily life.

There's a lot to be said for that, but what happens when your conservative and free lifestyle puts you in direct conflict with Big brother's morass of dumb laws and regulations that threaten you and your lifestyle? Then you're at war with them, either literally or figuratively.

“If it’s another Bush or other luke warm Leftist, we might just as well hang it up right now.”

Even if by some miracle we do get an actual conservative nominee (dreaming here), is it really worth the effort? The billions of dollars and millions of manhours...for what? Rest assured that if any conservative gets elected to the White House, he or she will be sandbagged from minute one. And I think its a huge and unrealistic assumption that this will happen in the first place.

Conservatism is a lifestyle and a personal decision. So, be conservative. Asking a bunch of kleptocrats for to please, in their infinite benevolence, give us a few scraps of freedom to me is wrongheaded and counterproductive. The kleptocrats are going to do what they’re going to do and not give a rats ass what we think about it. It’s time for end runs, not to try to elect a new and improved breed of kleptocrat.

We’re already there.

Ultimately the question is whether you obey or figure out ways to go around the never ending dictats.

Thomas Jefferson got it wrong: government derives it’s power from the obedience of the governed, not their consent.

The Republican Party has not shown itself to be any real opposition to Obama and the Democrats.

You won’t win with these surrender monkeys running the party,

If you want to resist in a small way, do as I do: look over your taxes and do everything you can to STOP the flow of your dollars going to Mother Government!

Yes, we do owe some confiscatory taxes that we will get in trouble for if not paid, but put every pre-tax dollar you earn into a 401k or IRA and if you have a Flex plan for medical and/or dental needs, fully fund that. Make sure you’re matching the minimum from your employer on your retirement savings at the very least.

Pay down any debt you owe; pay off your home, ASAP. Downgrade your car. Car payments are dumb! If you can afford it, buy some land. Buy ammo! Buy physical gold and/or silver. Turn every dollar you can spare into a tangible (one you can see and touch) asset of some sort.

And call your Mother and tell her you love her! :)

What kind of “resistance” is there supposed to be?

The Assyrian army of Sennacherib that was camped outside Jerusalem during the time of King Hezekiah figured that there would be “no resistance” as well. And then one morning, 185,000 of them were dead.

The dozens of Tea Party groups I have spoken to over the past 4 years have steadily shrunk. Some have gone completely out of business. There are many reasons: average age of members and complete absence of under 40s was sure to winnow the movement. Disillusion with the 2010 crop of legislators and senators in the failed government shutdown alienated some conservatives while driving off the few independents who wanted reps to “cross the aisle”. Some, like our county GOP, saw a Tea Party coup (good) but the guys we put in, while ideologically pure, were 100% incompetent. That set us back years-—all that tryst wasted.

Forgot passing Congress, 2/3 of state legs aren’t gonna ratify a homo marriage repeal amendment (or even a “let states decide” amendment which is what I think Walker proposed). We can muster a pro-sanity majority but not a super-majority.

Article V is a opium dream, used by Mark Levin to sell books, that’s all, it’s not happening and nothing good would likely come from it if it did. There is no magical solution to our problems, we need to win elections, particularly Presidential and US Senate elections to get good judges in and keep bad ones out.

A possible solution for voter fraud is a paramilitary with scary uniforms and whatever weapons are legal in any given state, put them as close to the polling places as allowed and have them proclaim to passersby that only citizens can vote and interlopers will be subject to arrest, that would scare half the illegals away. But even eliminating voter fraud won’t help us if we run crappy Todd Akin/Sharron Angle style loser campaigns.

Now, wanna get rid of queer “marriage”? A change of 1 pro-fag Justice could overturn this decision, but then we’d still have half the states with homo marriage.

I’m not a religious man, but this an abomination, it needs to be e-l-i-m-i-n-a-t-e-d, nationwide, period, by any means necessary. Only way to do that, have a federal ban rammed through with at least 218 in the House and at least 51 in the Senate (declaring filibusters out of order if necessary), signed by the President and ultimately upheld by at least 5 of 9 Justices.

I believe such a ban is constitutional under the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment, if that doesn’t jive with one’s view on “state’s rights” I say suck it up, this is more important than a personal narrow interpretation of the Constitution, this is the well being of civilization at stake.

We are officially in “the Constitution/law” is toilet paper” era. It means what 5 a-holes on the Supreme Court says it means, it’s passed time to get 5 of our a-holes on there and get them to say it means socialism is illegal, in every state, and if Vermont and California don’t like that they can go F themselves.

The Chicago way people. They fight with rocket launchers and we counter with slingshots.

The fact is that most blacks and Latinos are against gay marriage.

Are they? They reelected Obama with increased margins (among them) after he came out in favor of it in May 2012 (when his polling showed it was safe). So what's your point? If they are against it, that doesn't stop them from voting D.

While outreach should continue, particularly to Hispanics. Getting an increased supermajority of the White vote seems to be the path to victory.

As long as I can remember, the Republicans on Capital Hill have adopted the policies of the sitting Republican president.

If they were to stand up in opposition to a Conservative president, it would be the first time they had overtly done that.

They like being on the in-crowd list with the sitting president.

Pay serious attention to what LS said.

I know nothing about his local political situation, but I do know quite a bit about what happens when people who say the right things and believe the right things don't have enough basic competence and acquired experience to actually run things right.

The liberals value experience in government. Those of us who are conservatives and know the business world understand the value of “time in the chair,” and learning how things work.

For some reason some conservatives think putting inexperienced and unqualified people in political positions will work better than putting inexperienced and unqualified people in jobs in private business.

Competence counts. So does experience.

Obviously a highly competent and experienced person who wants do bad things is dangerous. But getting somebody who wants to do the right things but doesn't know how to do them isn't helpful, either, and can sometimes actually be harmful if it causes voters to turn against conservative candidates.

You may be on to something.

The so-called government shutdown threat might have been what helped conservatives do so well in 2014.

The majority of “People of color” voted AGAINST gay “marriage” in California.

Until the judicial coup d’é·tat that is the SCOTUS is abolished, no election, vote, legislation, Constitutional Article or Amendment, existing or proposed, matters.

“ok DEM. we agree not to elect anyone. Just cheer a few who get in there on their own.”

There will always be those who wish to worship at the false altar of elections, and I’m really not that concerned about them. They have their golden calf, let them bow low before it.

What I offer is nothing more than pure heresy to the devotees of the electoral religion. I point out that if elections were an effective methodology to implement comservatism, we would already have it. I offer the last 30 years as evidence that elections do not work. Those who wish to insist that elections do work are free to offer evidence. For the most part they are unable to do so. Their argument boils down to some variation on the theme of “this time it will be different.”

My goal is not to reach or persuade devotees of the electoral religion. My goal is to persuade those who are still using their good sense that maybe there is a different way.
