Why would anyone want to live in NJ anyway?

Because if you’re in the right part of the state there isn’t a better place in the country to live.

Westfield is a pretty snooty suburb on the Raritan Valley Line. Lots of money there, good place to live if you have a family and are a NYC executive.

A lot of people. I believe New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the country.

Having recently moved to the NYC area, I have to vouch for what others are saying about it. It really is a great area to live (if you can afford the taxes).

People that knock it either don't know what they are talking about or they can't afford to live here and they are bitter about it.

I've lived in Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, California and Massachusetts. Now I live in Connecticut and it's the best place by far. Near perfect climate, tons of things to do, a great infrastructure and more restaurants in my neck of the woods alone for a lifetime of exploring.

A lot of people who don't know the area think it's all slums but that's far from the case. Yes, NYC metro has its slums and areas to avoid - as does New Jersey and Connecticut. But mostly it's upscale communities that are very safe. I live on three acres of Connecticut woods and despite being 50 miles from Times Square, you'd think you were in the middle of Maine. Only I'm 10-15 minutes away from civilization - when I want it.

“Why would anyone want to live in NJ anyway?”

Why do people embarrass themselves by asking dumb questions ??
