I have come to the conclusion that the disease that is called 'humanity' must not be allowed to infect the rest of the galaxy.
We are an incredibly-flawed species, filled with lust and avarice and anger and greed, given to revenge and gossip and violence and hate. That God still loves us is something that demonstrates something about HIM, not us.
Most humans yearn for freedom and to be left alone, but others want to control and censor and manipulate and rule over us.
There have been four great experiments in having a nation that has, as its primary focus, freedom for the individual citizen: Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, post-revolutionary France, and America.... and even of those, three still allowed slaves (America being one)! The most modern example of this experiment is America.
But American freedom is mostly gone, soon to be completely gone... all in the name of 'suppressing hate speech' and 'combating global warming' and 'controlling gun violence' and 'making outcomes equal' and 'forcing citizens to provide for the poor'.
'Making outcomes equal' is the core of communism, and communism has always been the most brutal and oppressive economic and political system on the planet. 'Forcing citizens to provide for the poor' is just a watered-down version of the same, and prevents people and institutions from being able to give of free will.
Since we always seem to trend towards the destruction of individual liberty -- since we almost always, in human history, exist under some tyrant or monarch or king, or some panel or committee or politburo ....
.... I have changed my view from the Star Trek Utopian vision I used to have.
Mankind must be erased from the universe as the disease that it is.
Thank You!
I thought we had one?
Berlin_FReeper? McGruff
Then they are not on their game. hehehehe
(dead, this time I mean it)
Can’t. I’m sure it is a very cool game and normally would be right up my alley. But:
Fallout 4
Skyrim W/mods=Always something new and exciting or interesting every couple days. And Lydia. Nuff said ;)
When F4 hits That will be where all my attention goes. I look at games like a good book in a way. I never enjoyed reading two at once.
I’m going to have to break my own rule about that when Persona 5 comes out though. Been a devotee since P2. For anyone with a PS2 (for P3 and P4) and an interest in mythology it is highly entertaining. P5 will ship for the PS3 and the PS4 as well. Supposedly around Christmas.
If ya buy into some of the buzz on the internet,, come September , it may happen.. a driveby cosmic collision of our planet by an object passing thru our solar system, that is..
Or whoopi could eat a bad burrito and burn a hole thru the ozone layer that makes life no longer tenable here.
fortunately, we havent built the craft to get some folks back to Mars to start all over again,, but That’s Life!
Oh well, ya only go around once, some say..
I share your sentiment ,, and the disappointment that a species that has so much potential to do good, is so cruel to its own as to perpetually seek ways to lord over others instead of stand for good.. and not wallow in despair.
Maranatha.
Opus! Opus! Opus!
Nothing beats trapping the Followers of the Medusea (from Carthage) in a valley and pummeling them with flaming catapult shot and ballistas, then running them down with Triarii cohorts on one side and Socii Equestri cavalry on the other side.
Oh. Pus.
Here, have another year of it.
I’ll see your flaming cats and raise you 3 ancient dragons attacking simultaneously while you are armed with a Daedric sword, A Nord Valkyre, a Lunari Elf archer and another Lunari Battlemage...
Waxing all three of them and piling them like cordwood.
Start saving now so you won’t be disappointed next year! I want you HERE for the next event, ok? *boop*
“There were no dragons in ancient Rome.”
Yea but in Skyrim I don’t have to worry about a gay Kajhit running up naked behind me yelling “This is SPARTA!”
