Just thought I would post today, and mention that Art Bell is returning to the air in one month.
That's all.
(Excerpt) Read more at artbell.com ...
I use to love to listen to Art Bell. I will have to say as an engineering designer that worked at Wright Patterson for nearly 18 years, the aliens don’t have anything on me. Turn me loose, lol.
That’s why I always liked Art Bell. There were some really looney guests, but also some very thoughtful content; and Art was a great interviewer, and a great ‘straight-man’ to some of them, without ever being insulting or obvious.
I developed the bad habit of listening to radio through ear-plugs while I fell asleep, and Art Bell was always on in those days. George Noory was interesting for awhile, if often somewhat dense and absent-minded; but eventually he disappeared from our local stations as well. Now, it’s John Batchelor, on my favorite local talk station. I like Batchelor too, by the way. He’s also a very thoughtful interviewer, and I’ve learned about many things that I wouldn’t have found without his promotion of them.)
(And then there was Phil Hendry - brilliant! - but I could only take so much of him...)
I’d like to listen to this, when Art comes back. I saw this on his website:
“If you would like a dedicated device to play Internet radio, there are a couple choices out there. Look for the CC-WiFi or CC-Wifi 2 from C.Crane. Use promo code DARKMATTER to get a special gift and give us a credit.”
Does that mean that if I get a wifi radio, I can listen to this? We have wifi for the television now, since we ditched cable TV...
JT, embarrassingly ignorant about this stuff.
Thanks, I’ll get my Grundig G6 Aviator shortwave ready. I first listened to Art in late 1994 or early 1995 when I was recovering from an auto accident and had trouble sleeping. I always got a big kick out of callers like “Charlie Liberal” and “Dr. Democrat” defending Bill Clinton all the time. Those two were full of it, but they were good for a laugh or two. Plus who can forget JC?
Acc to post 69, the NV station will carry Art. The call letters are KNYE 95.1 (Pahrump, NV) Acc to their website, they have streaming. So last night I tried to find that station on my Internet radio, and, BINGO, it was there so I programed it (preset button).
I guess one could email the station to confirm that Bell will be on the station. karen@knye.com
I guess the call letters stand for Kingdom of Nye.
I use the timer on my Grundig G6 to listen to George Noory, Alex Jones and now Art. If I’m awake after the 20 minutes is up I set it for another.
Noory is a train wreck, lazy, hacky, by-the-numbers. If it’s true that Art is coming back, I know a lot of people who will be thrilled beyond words. Ian Punnett was my favorite, though.
Just a note:
Apparently terrestrial affiliates that air the show will not be allowed to stream it. You can check that at this url
http://artbell.com/terrestrial-affiliates-inquire-here/
“3. You must have your own blanket licensing for commercial music in your country. We cannot allow relay streaming of our show, as that will incur additional music licensing cost. You wont be covered by our license. If youre streaming to the Internet you must turn it off during our broadcast.”
There is also a faq on his site here
http://artbell.com/art-bells-new-show-faq/
I’m sure more terrestrial affiliates will be signing
up as time goes on. What station wouldn’t want Art’s
program.
Luckily it’ll be on shortwave if there are no locals
carrying it.
I think the only streaming will be from Art’s Dark Matter Radio Network.
Please read the faq as it will tell you how to set it up for streaming.
P.S. I’ve waited a long time for Art to come back and I’m glad he will be with us again. I sure missed him.
I saw the ‘Grace Digital GDI-IR2600 Wi-Fi Internet Radio’.
Is that the sort of thing that you mean? And would I need some kind of subscription?
Thanks very much for your help!

Art & George have one thing in common, both with military service in their background. Probably the last folks we’ll hear on Coast to Coast who can claim that.
Ive never heard his show. All I know about Bell is that he is big on UFOs and he married REALLY young women from the Philippines.
Oh, but it’s ok. Because the ghost of his dead philippina wife said it was ok to get the younger one next.
I’m still trying to figure out the best way to listen.
-JT
Depends on how he runs his service. If you can download a podcast that would work fine.
Sorry for delay in responding.
Yes, that is the one.
No subscription needed.
I hope he will be on KNYE in NV. I am able to get the station, streaming. Now I plan to email them to see if they are broadcasting his show.
Ten more days.
Looking forward to an update on Mel’s hole.
Where do we find Art at?
Update: I emailed KNYE in NV yesterday, and Karen said “Yes” they are broadcasting art bell on July 20, and they do stream. I don’t know the time of his show, however.
Thanks. I’m looking forward to it!

Tia
I don’t think that any of the AM/FM channels listed are IHeartRadio. Two choices for you as I see it: you can get an Internet radio (this would not work for truckers or others that travel - only at home) or you could get a IHeartRadio affiliate to take Art’s show.
This is on Art’s website: “If youre interested in carrying the program on your station, see our Affiliate Terms.” http://artbell.com/radio-stations/
Good luck
