I love cats. I just want to hug all of them, but I can’t hug every cat

My kitties love me, of this I am sure.
I freely admit it: I am staff to my cats. :)
Cats are great companions and this article did teach me a few things about the beloved and aloof kitteh.
DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan...
DAY 768- I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo". What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth and the tiny bit of flesh under my claws.
Understand a cat? Mine hates me a little less than everyone else in the world. And I relish that.

Why, yes I can. Here, I’ll do a little translating.
“Meow” - Get out of my chair you big oaf.
“Meow” - You do see my empty dish, don’t you?
“Meow” - I don’t know what I stepped on in the cat box, but it wasn’t litter.
“Meow” - I would give eight lives just to kick your behind.
I read the Life of Pi before I saw the movie and I don’t think that this was in the movie but at one point he talks about the five sounds a tiger makes and one of them was love. My cat Bob has started making a very odd sound and I think that’s the one. He also makes a sound when he is watching birds or squirrels through the window. He purrs, meows but I haven’t heard him hiss in a long time. He’s a very mellow cat.
I love the British term “moggie” as referring to cats.
I wouldn’t call my cats that. They prefer their titles.
;^)
Our cat is sitting here with me right now. He likes getting a lot of love. (His late sister liked it even more.)
One of our kitties brings my wife flowers from a flowering tree. No reason other than praise as far as we can tell. He will howl to let her know it is there for the asking. He will munch on it if not accepted.
Cats actually remind me a lot of toddlers:
“I LOVE you, Mommy! Hold me! Entertain me! Feed me! No, not that, no not that not that, yes, yummy! Love you Mommy! I AM THE MOST AMAZING AND IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE UNIVERSE! Feed me good stuff! Okay, nap time.”
I found having cats very good training for having kids. ;o)
I for one welcome our feline overlords.
