Miley Cyrus tends to shock most people. From photographing herself topless under the covers, to which The Huffington Post responded keep doing your thang, girl, to her recent promotion of the free the nipple campaign, she has continued to garner media attention.
But her shock factor amplified on June 9, when Papers interview with the pop star was released. Besides the bizarre fully nude photos accompanying the article, Cyrus had some important views to communicate.
According to Salons Jenny Kutner, Cyrus tackle[d] progressive issues with admirable seriousness, proclaiming a litany of totally right-on assessments of the world. Kutner was considerate enough to warn us that there were several f-bombs tossed in with the deep thoughts.
The Salon writers 5 favorite segments of the interview included Cyrus referral to the fundamental Christian viewpoint as a fairy tale weve outgrown, comparing it to f***ing Santa and the tooth fairy. The pop singer also stated that legislators who ascribe to it [shouldnt] get to make our laws Thats f***ing insane.
According to Kutner, Cyrus views on sexuality and gender identity were equally spot-on. Besides revealing that she is bisexual, she stated: I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesnt involve an animal and everyone is of age. Notice, she doesnt specify the number of people acceptable eek!
In the end, Cyrus embodies the classic liberal view on life: As long as youre not hurting anyone, your choices are your choices. And when you're a wealthy celebrity, you consequences aren't really your consequences, and the violence you do to traditional society isn't your concern.
But hey, Salon thinks she's cool.
Someone ignorant of Calculus checks the Calculus work of another and declares it perfect and without error.
Fools congratulating fools.
She is like her mother not her father. Her mom uses her for a cash cow.
She’s a train wreck waiting to happen.
Miley’s definitely the one I’ve been waiting on to bring some clarity to the complex issues of the day.
Maybe she’ll clear up all this disagreeemnt surrounding the TPP next.
As long as youre not hurting anyone, your choices are your choices.
Except your “choices” are forced upon me.
Dear Billy Ray Cyrus: You failed at parenting. Music too, but parenting even more so. Put your dog on a leash.

Look on the positive side: Jenny is self selecting herself out of the gene pool. Eventually there won’t be any more like her, with her beliefs, and problem solved.
Agreed totally. I had been a country music fan for some years by 1992 when the “Achy Breaky Heart” craze came out. I hated that song big time and so many mindless idiots supposedly became country fans because of that song. And he was so arrogant about the whole thing too, on top of it.
If idiots at Salon really hate their pitiful lives perhaps they should off themselves, I’ll supply the rope and a tall tree
I loved when Imus used to call him “Billy Ray Stupid” back then.
Bad visual, but I know it happened.
does she still stick her butt into men’s crotches?? And feel it empowers women and all that????
It is so sad that she thinks that it is intelligent to equate Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John’s message to the “Tooth Fairy”.
MC has lots of company among her peers. Jane Fonda was always sorta out there among Leftists in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s with even David Susskind calling her “crazy”. But Miley is just voicing mainstream trendy views.
In the end, Cyrus embodies the classic liberal view on life: As long as youre not hurting anyone, your choices are your choices.
... unless you follow Jesus.
And ... up is down. black is white. 1 + 1 = 1.
Bunch of professional sluts poisoning our youth with their filthy examples, which we are supposed to praise.
I’ve been waiting to form my own opinions until I heard her insights. She has always seemed so reasonable and intelligent.
