Exclusive — Donald Trump: ‘Disaster’ Trade Deal Empowers America’s Enemies, (Trump nails it again)
Breitbart.com ^ | 8 May 2015 | by Matthew Boyle

Posted on 06/08/2015 4:48:07 PM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network

Trump said the Republicans are pushing the deal because “they don’t understand” the topic and “they’re making a mistake.”

“It’s because you have lobbyists lobbying for this thing, and you have lobbyists representing areas of industry, you have lobbyists representing countries,” Trump said.

I think somehow Ted Cruz is on a different wavelength than I am.

We both seem to very much respect the consitution, American freedoms, and I very much admire how he stands up for people here in Texas.

Where we seem to differ is on global jobs. I want America to begin bringing jobs back to the USA.

I believe that is the difference.

We have been exporting American jobs now for an entire generation. Company after company was sent to China, where incidentally the original owners cannot even own the company - it has to be 49%. The majority is owned by a local, or the communist country as a whole.

That is I believe the big difference.

America we have sold far too much of what made America great, to the most populated nation on earth, a massive communist country in which we cannot even own things.

Everything for sale in America these days, appears to be made in China.

Trump is the only person, who dares to say this may be a bad course we are on.

I strongly agree with that.

If Senator Cruz can be for American jobs once again, I can be for Cruz.

I believe a lot of Americans are right now, in this situation.

But he won’t get my vote, by being part of a globalist group selling my country down the river.

That is not the way to my heart.

Watch Trump. He gets it. Big time.

Trump is right. The nice thing about being a billionaire is that you can tell the truth and don’t have to worry about losing donors.

Prediction: Trump will declare his candidacy and will qualify to participate in the first debate. It will be interesting to see how it goes. The press and other Republican candidates tend to be uncommonly deferential toward him and I won’t be surprised if he wins New Hampshire.

Free trade doesn’t exist and won’t ever be accomplished when the globalists negotiate our agreements. The best that can be accomplished for America is fair trade and that usually involves tariffs. It’s not a coincidence that America started to crumble under the leadership of the globalists.

It its not a good bill. Barry is for it......it CAN’T be good for anything! It is that simple but evidently the folks on our side want what Barry wants now. Just great huh? We all know Barry’s main goal is the destruction of our Country by any and all means possible. This TPP nightmare is something he wants BADLY. Why are our folks siding with, and supporting, the Kenyan born Marxist muslim Hussein on ANYTHING??! Anyone?

If Sessions is against it, it’s a bad bill. He supports the people not the elite.

Again Cringe, I respect your choices, Trump and no fast track. Ok, that’s your view. But then, you call Cruz a “globalist”- and that’s simply not him. That’s what I object to- the false characterizations of Cruz.

From the article I reference, there was a Texas Court case Medellin v. Texas. There, 51 Mexican nationals tried to overturn their conviction on rape and murder. They argued that Texas had violated the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations by failing to notify the convicted nationals of their opportunity to receive legal aid from the Mexican consulate. They based their case on a decision of the International Court of Justice.

The GWBush Administration AGREED and SUPPORTED the Mexicans.

Before the Supreme Court, Sen. Cruz argued the case on behalf of Texas. Cruz argued that President Bush could not force Texas to abide by international law, only Congress could. He won.

He’s a Patriot- he’s not a globalist.

Well that’s great then.

He should have no problem whatsoever in that case, with turning his full attention to out-doing Trump, on being pro-American with regards to trade.

Deal? If Cruz is for America, then he can be for American jobs, in America.

Simple. I’ll even pledge, if Cruz goes all-out against Trump on being pro-American jobs, bringing them back right here.

I’ll strongly consider voting for the guy.

That is my big issue, and I’m sure the crowd around this issue grows every single day.

How about it Cruz?

Respectfully, Ted Cruz would not do an “end run” around the constitution.

From the article I referenced above:

Like Reagan, Cruz believes in limited government, but his basis for that belief differs in a significant way from Reagan’s. Reagan thought limited government was a matter of political choice; Cruz believes it is a constitutional mandate. Cruz comes to that belief from a position of unusual intimacy with the constitutional text.

When Cruz was in his early teens, in Houston, his parents enrolled him in an after-school program run by Rolland Storey, a retired energy executive who wanted to instill the values of the free market in young people. At the Free Enterprise Institute, Storey had his young charges read Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek, and other authors revered by conservatives, and then give speeches at Rotary Clubs and similar venues around the state. “They created a spinoff group called the Constitutional Corroborators,” Cruz told me. “And they took five of the students, all of whom had been involved on the free-market side, and we focussed on studying the Constitution. So we’d meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for a couple of hours each night, and study the Constitution, read the Federalist Papers, read the Anti-Federalist Papers, read the debates on ratification. And we memorized a shortened mnemonic version of the Constitution.”

I asked for an example.

“TCCNCCPCC PAWN MOMMA RUN,” Cruz said. “Taxes, credit, commerce, naturalization, coinage, counterfeiting, post office, copyright, courts, piracy, Army, war, Navy, militia, money for militia, Washington, D.C., rules, and necessary and proper.”

Dan, you disagree with Sen. Cruz on the fast track, obviously many do. I respect your view. But, those who argue that Cruz would violate the Constitution, that’s just wrong. The guy lives and breathes the Constitution.

NC, please see my post 74.

I know you feel passionately about this trade deal, Sen. Cruz feels the opposite. As he’s said, “ If I am with you, I’m really, really with you. And if I’m not with you, I’m really, really not with you.” He’s just not with you on this one.

As for your constitutional argument, the fast track is not a treaty, and therefore, Article II, The Treaty Clause, does not apply.

Fast track destroyed the constitutional requirement requiring 66 senate votes to pass a Treaty and fast Track is worse.
since it bans amendments or any debate.

So why is Cruz ram thru fast track and peddling some phony amendments spin ?

You Cruz people need to deal with the truth.
