I find the schools lack of humor disturbing. Besides, all they had to say to the guy was “these aren’t the droids you’re looking for” and he would’ve left..

Lynn Police spokesman Lt. Rick Donnelly said that "the way things are today, you can't have that." I agree with him. Some maniac school shooter could bring a real gun in dressed up like that. By the time people realized it wasn't a joke, it would be too late.

Man dressed in a stormtrooper costume with a fake gun is arrested even after it was discovered that it wasn’t real.
The principle called because she wasn’t for sure if it was a real gun or not.
Gotcha. So why didn’t she call 911 when people dressed as police officers arrived with guns? Was she certain they were really police officers? Couldn’t they have just been wearing police costumes?

He means, the overly-paranoid and and gun-grabbers story line prevails rather than reality so we have to overreact... even to stupidity . THAT is the way things are today.

the way things are today, you can’t have that.
And WHY are things the way they are today, liberals?
Whose ideology has become more prevalent as we lose more freedoms?
And whose culture are you suppressing as we get to where we are today?

At least he didn’t show up dressed as a Jedi and bring a prop lightsaber.
People might be scared because it would look like a REAL lightsaber.
Yeah...Let that sink in for a minute.
