One sister was 12, the other 10, when he was 14 and briefly touched them on top of their night clothes, as they slept. Yes, it was wrong, but it is truly possible that they did not know that anything had happened. Also, the girls' bedroom wasn't "small".
Sometimes when people have residual or unresolved issues from hard or bad experiences these can come up underneath similar incidents and evoke all sorts of passions and or exaggerations...... usually why it might seem overblown....they overlap...... Though I do agree this Duggar ordeal is way over the top.

Springdale City Attorney Ernest Cate tells TMZ, the case file was never sealed. The reason — the police report wasn’t filed until 2006, 4 years after the molestations began. When the police report was filed, Josh Duggar was 18 ... an adult suspect, and therefore there was no basis for sealing the case.
Cate says he got a Freedom of Information request from a media outlet, and since it was a non-sealed case he was required to release it under the Freedom of Information Act. The names of the minor victims in the police report narrative were redacted.
Maybe a daughter did write the list.
Or maybe, just as the father said, a family friend wrote it.
Whatever the case, the notion that one of the daughters - and not a family friend - wrote the list is pure conjecture.
I don't watch reality shows, but I have read several articles about this and yes, I did watch the Kelly shows.

Well first of all I wouldn’t have commented at all period.
However...I’d likely mention the family had an incident 12 years ago. The matter was settled. We’ve moved on and we’re all fine. Step away from the mike and then take no questions.
You will never get the media nor tabloids from talking about this unless the family stops talking about it. However, “celebrities”, who the family now is, know that even bad press makes money.....so they play it accordingly....

Well, let’s hear the truth of what happened since you insinuate you were there and know what happened. Never mind that the 2 sisters who were there (don’t you remember seeing them?) said they did not know they were inappropriately touched until Josh confessed to their parents. Yes, I watched both programs on the Fox Kelly File.
That's just moronic. These acts occurred when he was a juvenile so it should have been sealed.
BTW- in this country, we prosecute lots of 15 and 16 year olds as adults.

Nobody has used the words “forced to go onto Megan Kelly’s show except you. Now just suppose you were nationally outed for something you knew to be of minor offense. Would you just keep quiet and let your family bear the brunt of the ridicule or would you go (when asked) on TV to tell your side of the situation. And also do you think the tabloids and other muckrakers would leave the story alone if you just made a simple statement and said no more?
