WILLIAMSON, W.V. Students and parents are rallying to the defense of a teacher who is accused of violating federal school snack rules.
The Williamson PreK-8 teacher, who was not identified, would give her students wrapped candy as a reward for their hard work and good behavior.
Because the practice was an alleged violation of the federal rules championed by first lady Michelle Obama, Mingo County Schools Director of Child Nutrition Kay Maynard placed a call to officials at the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) to report the incident, the Williamson Daily News reports.
Maynard also spoke to Williamson PreK-8 principal Shannon Blackburn, telling him about the possibility of a monetary fine for the teacher.
When news spread, parents and student mobilized, collecting pennies to pay the potential fine on the teachers behalf.

Looks like Kay ought to be watching her own nutrition.

They won’t, they are part of the “ruling class”. It’s guns and ammo time...the Tree of Liberty is getting thirsty and there is a lot of tyrants we could draw blood from.

Here's the lovely (urp) Kay Maynard, another in a long line of 'educators' indistinguishable from the Stasi. Hey, she looks at this as a job application. Once Hillary is elected, she wants to runs something bigger... like an extermination camp... don't worry, she won't do anything thing to anyone that hasn't broken a rule... hehehe...
But yeah, let's have a GOOD LOOK at this moral monster, Kay Maynard:

Dunno, though I suspect that similar rules have been enacted in other states. So, it won’t be as simple as just retracting what 0 has done federally, but also what state authorities have done (as influenced by 0).

Seems like Kay Maynard might be liable for some administrative retribution. It sounds like she went directly to the state, rather than going to her supervisor, the school administrator, thus bypassing the chain of command. If I was him/her, I would be looking at some serious repercussions from this, even if I agreed with the rule.

I subbed for years. I always carried a bag full of stickers, small candies, etc. into every classroom I subbed.

First Lady Michelle Obama personally traveled to the Williamson, WV school to witness the punishment meted to the teacher. Seated in the auditorium, she watched as the school Principal dressed down the educator.
"As long as I'm in charge, there will be no unhealthy snacks distributed to America's children," the First Lady told the reporter, in between munches on her french fries.

She should take it to court. Michelle is not an elected official, let alone a voting majority of Congress. Only Congress can make laws. Period.

But yet a kitchen staff person dumped a kids lunch in to the trash because she didn’t have enough money in her lunch account to pay for it.

If I was rich, I'd fill a helicopter (or better yet, a very stealthy drone) with candy on little individual parachutes, fly over that school during recess and let it rain down.

Mingo County Schools Director of Child Nutrition Kay Maynard needs to be beaten with sticks, tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a rail.
