What book or fictional story would make a good movie?
Posted on 05/21/2015 8:30:11 PM PDT by MNDude
It seems like there's not many original ideas in Hollywood...how many remakes is there of Dracula or King Kong?
Yet, I'm sure there's got to be thousands of great books and stories that have never been made into a movie. Which fictional stories would you like to see as a movie?

Could they do the Harry Potter books? That would be great.

Game of Thrones pretty much stole their name from the “Game of Houses” in Jordan’s series, IMO.

The Woman in White - Wilkie Collins. It’s never been adequately done. I’d say ‘The Day of the Triffids’ but it’s been ripped off so many times that people wouldn’t see it for the original work it was.

TIME AND AGAIN, by Jack Finney would make a great series. A movie wouldn't be able to cover enough of the story.
A CONSPIRACY OF PAPER, by David Liss.

Shoot, I’d love to see my sci-fi series on the big screen!

The American movie was good, but left too much out. The Brit T.V. series of THE WOMAN IN WHITE did it wonderfully well.
THE MOONSTONE should be done.

Anything Lovecraft.
I’m surprised some enterprising group hasn’t started a hugh series out of his stories.
Only need one set for Arkham University.
