No, ladies from my Bible study and prayer group. Scary. With RCIA over, I don’t get to chat so much with Fr.B.
Father Etsio has professed himself a big fan of Frank. It’s disconcerting. Whereas, Father DeCelles, whom you know I have quoted and spoken of here at great length, from what I can tell from his sermons and writings, is basically holding his breath and praying that he isn’t as bad as he fears.
FR is full of Catholic haters. Do they really believe they can get to Heaven by hating?
What they swoon over is their perception that popeF loves and accepts sinners. They fail to see a line between love the sinner and hating the sin. They prefer to skip that part.
Oilers need Steelers.
And vice versa.
I will NEVER engage them. It’s completely mystifying to me. Now, I would expect that if they were truly Christian their objective would be to guide, in LOVE, an errant Christian towards Truth. They can’t possibly claim that as their goal, as they exhibit ZERO love, and their entire raison d’etre is to browbeat, belittle and demean the Catholic faith and believers. They summon each other to the fray and congratulate themselves on their supremacy and RIGHTNESS of belief, all while beating down Catholics. SO, other than self-aggrandizement, I see no other purpose to what they do. NOT. A. BIT. CHRISTIAN. not even a little bit.
and no admonition to sin no more. sin is accepted as a given and continually forgiven, so no incentive to stop sinning, just glory in the forgiveness.

I skipped prayer group this week. Last time I went one lady took a phone call on her cell during prayer. The caller informed her that the Cal Harris trial was deadlocked. The judge finally declared a mistrial. Harris has twice been found guilty of murdering his wife and twice his conviction was overturned. She obviously wanted him free to raise his children. I was shocked, shocked enough to be glad to skip it the next week. The wife and mother went missing on 9/11/01, and her body was never found. He had told her he would do it.
What the heck is happening in the NHL? They decided to enforce the rules all of a sudden?
And how many people in the world understand the word? About 10. Not too useful!

All of us here in class now do. Nothing wrong with a large vocabulary. Makes language more interesting.
you need to get around a better, more educated class of people then, because this word is perfectly useful : ) By the way, we love when someone who does not frequent the thread comes in to lambast the choice of word. Have a great day!

why, what do you mean? have to say I’ve stopped paying much attention now that the Caps are out. I do want Tampa Bay to win, but other than just keeping track of winning/losing, haven’t seen much on the actual games. Xshub did tell me about the 3 OTs the other night and at first I thought he meant xsboy’s beer league game and I was WHAT, they have to go to work, why would they play until 2-3 am!!
I still tend to view all Christians as Christians, but those self-professed, Catholic bashing Christians on the RF do not act like any Protestants I know! Those people would be better served to pray all day and to ask God for forgiveness. I pray “they know not what they're doing.” It's certainly not God's work and certainly not proselytizing!

agreed, I don’t read their posts very often either. I honestly never encountered anti-Catholicism in my life until FR, and I belonged to Campus Crusade for Christ in college. These self-proclaimed Christians are Pharisees, pure and simple.
good you worked the word in! and even further, I would say the haters are cozening themselves into believing they are doing the Lord’s work, when in reality they are doing the work of Satan in failing to LOVE as Jesus taught.
