Outspoken Pope Francis is taking on the arms industry, lashing out at the “industry of death”—and condemning those who “live off war.”

The remarks came Monday in response to a question from one of the 7,000 teachers, parents and children participating in an audience with the Pontiff, ANSA reports.

“This is serious,” Francis said. “Some powerful people make their living with the production of arms. It’s the industry of death.” […]

“When we see that everything revolves around money—the economic system revolves around money and not around the person, men and women, but money—so much is sacrificed and war is waged in order to defend the money.” …

>> The industry of death...

And yet no mention of Islam...

So what’s the procedure for papal recall?

If you're going to continue your whack-a-mole apologies for the Catholic Church and this fraud of a Pope, you really have your work cut out for you.
I ask you: What institution has not seen Satan infiltrate it in the same way, to the same extent?
Do you mean as the likes of a President or a Pope?

Industry of peace I would say.

as 90% of the crimes in relation to the Catholic Church have been priests and post-pubescent boys
Oh, like a school teacher and a student? Do you apologize for their behavior too?

Pedophilia is the sexual attraction/abuse of pre-pubescent children. Very few priests have been charged with this crime. What you must be referring to is homosexuality, as 90% of the crimes in relation to the Catholic Church have been priests and post-pubescent boys.

Who came up with the standard excuse? What year? Yours is not the first usage of this claim that the unholy fathers were just homos not pedophiles. It is unbelievably repugnant. Unless you were there you have NO clue how the 'prepubescent' boys were schooled to be ever so willing to service these unholy freaks.

Catholics, I don’t know if you have a process to remove a sitting Pope, but if you do, it might be the time to start it.

I removed myself from the church decades ago. Much less hassle.

When we see that everything revolves around money—the economic system revolves around money and not around the person, men and women, but money—so much is sacrificed and war is waged in order to defend the money.

The weapons business is about people - the gun owners. Hunters, sportsmen and potential self-defenders.

And soldiers, of course. A weapon for them is an issue of survival, check the ‘Rifleman’s creed’.

I wonder if the Pope ever heard of St. Possenti.

Maybe we should all send the Pope a copy of the book “Gun Saint” by John Snyder?

I didn’t realize that guns and explosives attack people on their own. Does this stupid little douche have a brain in his head?

I miss Pope Benedict. This is the worst Pope since the Middle ages.

No. It’s the industry of life.

Next time a terrorist attacks, try prayer rather than return fire.

You’ll be dead before you hit the ground.

Oh, like a school teacher and a student? Do you apologize for their behavior too?

Why do you say I am apologizing? Where do you read in that that I don't consider it abhorrent? How do you come to conclude that I don't think that it "better a mill stone is put around their necks and be cast into the ocean"?

Accuracy, precision, yes even on the sound-bite internet. The 90% figure is, just as sickeningly, accurate.

If you're going to continue your whack-a-mole apologies for the Catholic Church and this fraud of a Pope, you really have your work cut out for you.

I ask you: What institution has not seen Satan infiltrate it in the same way, to the same extent?

It's not very satisfying engaging in discussion like this. I make a point correcting a term (pedophilia) and you accuse me of apologizing for immoral behavior. I make another point about the complexity of a subject like the arms industry, while at the same time making it clear I do not support the pope in areas political, financial, scientific, and you accuse me of blindly supporting the pope. Are you too busy to give a fuller response? Or are you very negatively disposed to the Catholic Church such that any statements regarding it not completely derogatory you cannot abide?

No need to disparage prayer in that fashion.

Notwithstanding, the context of Luke 22:36 ought not be ignored.

Would you call a change in charges from aggravated assault to aggravated battery an excuse for aggravated assault? The facts, which are in no way less reprehensible than pedophilia, simply make clear that homosexual men took their immoral satanic pleasure with middle school and high school boys.

You make a further claim of grooming, but I don't know of any evidence. Do you have any? I am not saying it couldn't have happened, but charges should be based on evidence. You state that one needs to have been there to exonerate the unholy freaks. Were you there? And if so, an anecdote is of minor significance.

For some of us, the arms industry is an “Industry of Life”.

I have no intention to disparage prayer in any way.

However, I’m not aware of prayer working at all when a “Bad Guy” is firing off a salvo at you.

At such a time, the best “prayer” is a loaded firearm in the hand.

Since I have NO authority that counts, what I call charges is immaterial. What does God call it? I have found nothing in any part of the Written word that attempts to distinguish the sin/crime based upon the age of the victim. What I can point to repeatedly is the punishment for men of God abusing His Sheep. What is repugnant to me, is the premeditated philosophy, that there is a distinction in the gravity of the sin/crime based upon the maturity of the boys body. That is just plain twisted. The appearance then is given that the weight of sin is now evenly dispersed upon 'post pubescence' boys and the unholy freak that is typically protected and packed off to repeat offend.

This philosophy then follows with the claim, everybody is doing it, as though everybody is a supposed man of god calling himself 'holy father'. The sin/crime in done in the name of GOD!

You make a further claim of grooming, but I don't know of any evidence. Do you have any? I am not saying it couldn't have happened, but charges should be based on evidence. Common sense says, and IF the reality of homosexuality were literally discussed, would demonstrate that majority of these 'homos' were accosted when they were 'prepubescence' boys. Of course I was not there, you think these perverts school their victims in public? Altar boys does have such a religious image.

If it wasn't for American arms manufacturing, and the American will to use those arms, Rome would still look something like this:
