If you could take any historical event and have it made into a movie (and it would be made to your liking) which historical event would it be? Hannibal? Maccabees? Etc.
The Reign of Terror, or a really definitive St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre. Both would be huge challenges, to be close to historically accurate and fair.
I’d love to see something in depth about life in Germany relating to how the German people went along so easily with pure propaganda. I have seen documentaries etc. But something less clinical and more ‘accessable’ to the masses for lack of a better term would be interesting.
Considering that Nixon was a pinko loyal to the communist party of china, that was a shocking betrayal by his fellow travelers.
Battle of Athens, Tn
The true story of Joe McCarthy would make a good movie.
That would be intense. Same goes for the battle off Samar.
The Spartan Brigade/2nd. Brigade of the Third Infantry Division (Mechanized) and it’s ‘’Thunder Run’’ into Baghdad on 4/5/2003. Nothing short of absolutely amazing. The biggest drive by shooting in history.
That would be great for someone like Clint Eeastwood to do.
How many Americans know of it, not too many I would guess.
The life and times of the moderate Muslim.
First of all, what is “an event”? Is it something very specific covering a very short time, or can it be extensive, as in something that is labeled even though it takes a good while to play out?
I wish there was a great movie about the American Revolution.
People really don’t get it. There is so much to it and so much to appreciate.
Yet it has hardly, ever, been touched on. Ever.
After writing a book on mapping Matthew 24 with the Book of Revelation, I’m seriously wanting to do a movie on these end-of-the world-events. I know that is not technically history, but it might as well be, because it’s going to happen and soon.
“Religious”, “Christian” movies tend to have a tinny, sort of wooden feel. I would want to do whatever I could to get top talent in the production with a compelling human drama in the foreground with these end-time events in the background.
The Benghazi debacle.

It was about a movie itself. No chit.
Mrs. Clinton and the Pres made a commercial. No chit.
Susan Rice went on 5 Sunday programs to blame the movie. No chit.
The future President said: AT THIS TIME, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? NO CHIT.
The virtual assassination of Richard Nixon, engineered by the rat party and liberal press and enabled by cowards in his own party......
I would like to see the Mutiny on the Bounty done PROPERLY from the hiring of the crew, the start of the journey to get the breadfruit trees to the epic 3,600 mile journey of Bligh and the 18 crew members in the launch to Timor to the absolute insanity that went on with the mutineers on Pitcairn island. Every movie they ever made on it always leaves out one of those parts. I read the 1932 book by Nordhoff and Hall literally 100 times since I was a kid, I can never ever get enough of that book. I’m 52, to this day I still read it. It is just the most insane book you will ever read in your life. I mean just as one example England found some of the mutineers on Tahiti and arrested them, threw them in the brig of the ship and sailed off and the ship actually sank stranding them on a sand bar where the crew went insane from thirst before they escaped on launches WITH the prisoners, it just never ends the insane stories, the whole book is like that one after another after another and they always edit out stories like that in the movies they’ve made as if the whole story is just the mutiny.
Some other historical movies I would like to see is Ernest Shackletons epic Endurance voyage to Antarctica which is just an utterly incredible story which to me again has never been properly made into a movie, and Robert Falcon Scotts insane race to the pole in which him and his team all froze to death. The stuff that went on in the early 1900s when it came to the poles it just mind blowing.
Leyte Gulf would be awesome.
The crimes and execution of Hasan at Fort Hood.
that was my thought exactly. people need to remember the price our forefathers paid.
although I did love the Patriot with Mel Gibson.

Now THAT would be a good movie! The guy was right all along as we can see quite clearly today with all the blatant commies in office whose only agenda is the complete destruction of this country. McCarthy was a hero who was trying to defend this nation and was destroyed for it but all you read about is how the poor commies in Hollywood had - boo hoo - a hard time getting work. Oh boo hoo. Awwww they didn’t get acting jobs as if acting is a real job in the first place.
