Wal-Mart issued a statement Monday to TPM dismissing "rumors" that tunnels were being built by the U.S. military beneath closed stores in an attempt to launch a takeover of Texas.
"There’s no truth to the rumors," Wal-Mart spokesperson Lorenzo Lopez told TPM via email.
The tunnels are part of a series of conspiracy theories surrounding "Jade Helm 15," a military training operation set to take place later this year in seven Western states. The conspiracy theorists have said the operation may be part of a covert attempt to takeover Texas and other states.
In response to the theories, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) last week issued an order for the state guard to monitor the U.S. military — a decision he defended on Monday.
Theorists have suggested that five Wal-Mart retail locations were shuttered abruptly because of Jade Helm 15. They have suggested that the closed stores, one of which is located in Texas, will serve as "food distribution centers" and will be used to "house the headquarters of invading troops from China, here to disarm Americans one by one."
Another theory suggested that there was already a system of underground tunnels below the closed Wal-Marts.
And the girl ain't half bad lookin' either.
Here’s what I heard: They are training radical Muslims to be commercial airline pilots. These guys are all going to board different aircraft, and then at the same time destroy the White House, The Capitol, The Pentagon, and both towers of the World Trade Center.
Who comes up with this stuff?

2nd and all the rest of you naïve "grown ups" who think Jade Helm 15 isn't fraught with danger for abuse, corruption, and tyranny, you are being MANIPULATED blatantly, openly, obviously, by standard MSM language such as the term "conspiracy theorists" that is the default description being used to describe anyone who very sensibly is suspicious of Jade Helm 15.

But the funny part is that as you insist on Jade Helm is a legitimate issue (which it is) you are the one who is trivializing it and holding it as ridiculous as you use this article as a base for your “proof”.

Oh yes, I also remember when we retaliated for those muslim airline pilots destroying the trade centers, pentagon, white house and capitol. I remember the smmoooth green glass that became the whole damn middle east. It was like looking at the planet krypton when viewed from space. It was so reflective that the light of the sun bounced around in the clouds of the atmosphere and never again was there a completely dark night on the Earth. And never again was the crescent moon of Allah seen in our skies.
It was the greatest hour in history when all 363 of those missles took off and the whole world watched live on all the networks. I remember as they lifted into the air and then we all watched, together, via live broadcoast setup by US Special Ops teams with cameras, as the warheads exploded over several targets. Watching Tehran, Mecca, Palestine, etc. all engulged in a giant blinding fireball live on tv, split screen one after the other . . . over thirty minutes. It is a vision that will never be forgotten.
The greatest threat to humanity wiped out in less than an hour. And the great peace that has reigned upon the Earth since. Many believe President Gore’s response to the 9/11 attacks will be measured by future historians as defined, tactical, appropriate and securing a final peace. Many thank God we had a man prone to implementing a response based on momentary emotions in the White House at the time rather than one who would have responded based on the desires of the vast military industrial complex that the great Republican Eisenhower warned us of or based on family business dealings.
But there are those who believe the response was wrong. They felt taking out only those few terrorists responsible was the best approach. Or perhaps just settling some old grudges by taking out Saddam would have worked just fine. But since that never happened we will never know whether if by 2015 the whole world would in that “compassionate conservative” universe would be one of universal peace as it is today. Thanks to President Gore and President Palin that followed, we don’t have to worry about that anymore.

There is “no truth” but I hope the Texas Rangers are prepared and on alert.
That was some weird science fiction right there. Yes sirree. But if history could be re-written and if Gore was president and he did that - I could live with that. With Palin to follow him instead of Obama following Bush.
But the truth is - Gore would have bungled the 9/11 aftermath even worse than Bush did.
You jumped to a whole lotta wrong conclusions, and you are also a piss-poor writer -- WHAT did you say above? Cut to the chase, please, make yourself clear.
But actually, I can only conclude that you are lost and have zero clue. EXACTLY in line with the mindset so unaware of being manipulated by language and its suggestions. Why on earth do you think that:
1. I am using this article as base for my "proof" -- where did that assumption come from? YOU, and wrongly.
2. Are you somehow laboring under the impression that "tunnels under Walmarts" and "Chinese taking over" are things I fall for?
