I still surf and 15 footers would have me wetting myself.
Uh-huh.
Better safe than sorry.
When I was young, huge waves in Hawaii ... body surfing, introduced to Coral multiple times... 9 months later I was still picking coral out of my elbows ... still have the scars.
Seriously, Coral will grow in your body.
Youth and alcohol... dangerous and still probably why I am still alive, even with the choices that I made because of them.
“I am still an idiot...but I am His idiot now”
Works for me!

Amazing how music connects so many dots from the past.
Excellent book, Turnip Harold.
Amazing picture
Surf’s up. I enjoy the comments here. Mugu, Ventura Point, and Rincon in Santa Barbara have south facing beaches.
Thanks. Have to admit I was a little nervous there for a minute. (it really wasn’t me in the video). :)
I surfed at Pacific Beach in San Diego when the waves were breaking against the bottom of the pier. Took forever to paddle outside. After two rides I was beat. Still wonder how I survived that day. But I was 18 and invincible then.
Water scares the Hell out of me now. Buddy of mine lost one from his boat fly fishing a couple weeks ago. They hit a submerged root ball and flipped. dude never came up for air and they found him 1/2 mile down river.
I’m looking for a PFD for a three day fly fishing trip I have booked this summer. Until I can walk on water I’ll have the utmost respect for it.
This clip from the Krakatoa movie (ship in wave caused by collapse of the volcano) is awesome. They survived because of the captain.
