Alan Dershowitz Rips Baltimore Attorney For Charges Against Cops, Predicts Acquittal

Not everybody is happy that the six police officers involved in the arrest of Freddie Gray are being charged with felonies.

One of those people is famous defense attorney Alan Dershowitz, who appeared with Steve Malzberg today to slam Baltimore state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby for playing politics with the lives of those officers.

Specifically, Dershowitz said that “this is a very sad day for justice.” He claimed that Mosby acted to prevent riots rather that in response to the evidence in the case.

He also said that it will be “virtually impossible” for the police officers to get a fair trial.

Dershowitz criticized Mosby for the extent of the charges as well, saying that there is “no plausible, hypothetical, conceivable case for murder.” He went so far as to say that the state’s attorney might be removed from the case.

Finally, he said that it’s unlikely that the state will get any convictions in this case. And, even if they do get convictions, they will probably lose on appeal.

Yes, when someone wait’s until they are surrounded by Obama voters it is too late to sell. Plus HUD will make the seller spend thousands on building requirements and sell at a loss to accommodate the Obama voter new owner.

Going to be a long, hot, summer.

They can't pull these charges back, and they don't have enough to prove the crimes they are charged with.

No way these cases can be heard in Baltimore.

What a mess.

My view is that's it's not about the color of the cops. It's about inflicting great harm on the power of the police to stop (black) thugs from controlling the streets. Mosby is in cahoots with the rest of the race-hustlers in trying to diminish the power of the police to control presently out of control black males who've ruined many American cities.

These dopes actually believe that overpolicing causes most of the problems of young, black males. We know different.

I don’t mind the city being run by women as long as the mayor is a Margaret Thatcher and the city D.A. is a Jeanine Pirro. Baltimore has neither. From what I see, the mayor is a weak sister who is dependent on and publicly defers to Al Sharpton and the D.A. is very political and will defer to the mobs in the street. If Baltimore is to have a saving grace, it will be Governor Larry Hogan, who must be appalled at the political and prosecutorial leadership he has had to deal with in Baltimore this week.

This somehow seems like a contradiction.

It's too late to sell their houses. Anyone living there should go on a very strict money diet and have enough money to live elsewhere for a very long time while they find a job and somewhere safe.

I have no clue how there can be any semblance of law and order if police can't stop anyone who runs away from them.

Detroit police chief James Craig gave a good talk on business and what is needed to bring it back to Detroit.

He was saying that business must feel welcome and safe and pointed to Ferguson and Baltimore as what scares business away. While it has been 50 years since there was rioting in Detroit, Craig said that they have a bad habit of making demands on business that puts them on an adversarial footing. He said its time to stop angrily waiting for business and political leaders to reach out to us and put on a smile and reach out to them for once. Basically, make your neighborhood safe and create a demand for business.

He also said they need to stop worrying about black owned business vs white owned business. In the free market, the only color that matters is green.

It's three weeks ago now that I came back from a one-week cruise to and from Baltimore. I stayed at a hotel not all that far from riot central.

It was a fantastic experience. Everything about how Baltimore handled the cruise and the cruisers got rave reviews. The hotel staff and the staff at the port were all professional and competent, and a lot seemed to be residents of the city.

The money and positive reputation the city was getting from these thousands of people passing through every week is now threatened. How dumb is that?

A mass resignation by Baltimore police will let the city enjoy the true nature of its citizens.

Watching the TV news coverage of the mess in Baltimore, following everything else that has been going on, tells me that we are re-living the 1960's. It seems to be 1965, but another analogy would be 1967, with Baraq Obama paying the role of Lyndon Johnson and Hillary Clinton starring as Hubert Humphrey.

And that says next year's Democrat convention will be a real ratings boost for the sagging TV networks.

"Burn, Baby, Burn!!!!!"

You heard it here first.

Looked at another way, any civilized person who still lives in Baltimore today - is probably a willfully ignorant liberal white collar worker of some type who has refused for decades to admit where his/ her city was headed.

It was really only an illusion anyway. Every large city in the country has its safe zones and no go zones. Downtown Detroit is perfectly safe and there are plenty of residential neighborhoods that are reasonably safe for an urban area. And then you have neighborhoods where safety would be iffy if you went with a SEAL Team.

It is not just that they are women, it’s that they are liberal Black women. Point to any major city in this country that has liberal black leaders and you will see a city in decay.

They can't pull these charges back, and they don't have enough to prove the crimes they are charged with.

According to Conservative Treehouse, there is another step before this case can go to trial.

http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/05/01/baltimore-state-attorney-marilyn-mosby-is-presenting-a-potemkin-village-to-a-racial-audience/

What she needed was an arrest, just an arrest, the direct PCA Probable Cause Affadavit) is a tool to achieve that goal.

The arrest is based on a direct action probable cause filing. After the arrest the SA then has 30 days to bring an actual indictment, or she can change/drop the charges. Within the 30 days she has to take this to a Grand Jury to create the indictment.

Most likely the actual indictment charges, if any, will be far different on an indictment sheet (if at all) than the PCA claims she is basing the arrest upon. Meaning, with almost virtual certainty, what’s going on now is pure theatrics.

So, according to this, a Grand Jury must be convened. Sundance seems to think that it will push back. Is it realistic to think so?
