Well, you know, the thing is, when it happened to me, it was a little strange, but I just said “well people have different hair, it’s natural to be curious”. But for the author of that piece on microaggressions, those must have been incidents she harbored resentments about for years to come.

On the upside, if these are the type of things that grievance mongers are complaining about, it shows how far we have come getting rid of the really bad racial incidents in this country. They wouldn’t bother whining about people asking to touch their hair if there were real legitimate civil rights violations for them to be campaigning about.

I think it may be a valid complaint that some people just have grudges simmering under the surface and it shows in thus and such a subtle way.

But when liberals complain about it, I wonder if they are seeing the world of all conservatives through their own commonly angry and resentful prisms? Backed by macro, not micro, aggressions?

Even worse is when they ask me if I want to add a dollar to my grocery tab to go to some charity or another. One grocery store in the area had an idiot manager on the loudspeaker making an announcement every time some intimidated customer contributed. Cheering and raving.

I no longer patronize that store.

I am perfectly capable of contributing to a charity without coercion from my grocery store - or anyone else. Retail businesses need to get out of the charity pimping racket.
