They sorta kicked him tot he gutter during ESD which is why it ended up really good, Lucas is the epitome of a “Big idea” guy, but when he micromanaged he did more harm than good.

Just what I thought. I could see that he might age more slowly than humans but a few gray hairs around his muzzle (like an older dog) would have added verisimilitude.
But this is the first Star Wars film I’ve been excited to see since I. I hope it’s actually good.
I am so seeing Ep. VII in the theater, rarely go opening week or night, hope it holds better than the prequels, Ep. III was worthwhile while I and II were weak...IV and V made me wish I saw them in the theater when they came first time around and be old enough to fully understand enjoy them...saw VI in the theater(was 9) as well as the prequels...

It was an experience to see IV at the time. Skipped my last day of High School to wait 3 hours in line for a ticket, and 3 more to get into the first showing on opening night.
When, at the beginning the Imperial ship flew in from the top of the screen there was a collective gasp from the entire audience.
It was in that theater for over a year.

I saw the LIVE event from the Star Wars Celebration down in Anaheim this morning. They had JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy (pres. of Lucasfilm), 3 of the new cast members, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Mark Hamill.
JJ said the desert planet the Star Destroyer was crashed on was "Jackoo" (assuming that's the spelling).
They also said Harrison Ford really wanted to be there, but couldn't due his still recovering from the airplane crash.
