A SIN TAX on Hollywood and the entire entertainment industry would raise more money and do more for the health of this country than anything this fool has to offer.

NO! It is not the meat or dairy. Sugar and grains cause obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

But we shouldn't tax them. Lets educate them. The FDA is killing millions with their recommendations on food.

No, meat, alcohol, and tobacco should all be banned.

Hey! I have an idea!
How about getting rid of ALL taxes.

As to the concept of taxing meat in order to eat healthier, I will skip fruits and vegetables and only eat meat. I love meat! I love steak tartar. meat meat meat meat meat. yum yum yum.

tofu should be taxed as much as cigarettes.

“...give tasty vegan foods a try, which would then help to reduce the nation’s health care costs and its Sasquatch-size carbon footprint.”

Lost me right there, you grasseating nutcake leftie.

Go sit on some tofu.

In that case Miss Heather, I want a sin tax on Starbucks, iPods, kale, hummus, sparkling water, skinny jeans, and whatever else you like that I don’t.

But there's one tax I'm in favor of - and you should be, too, if you care about your health and the health of the planet: a sin tax on meat, cheese and other animal-based foods.

Take that idea Heather and Get Bent!

it would not only stimulate the economy

HTF would it "Stimulate" the Economy?

It's a TAX it gets money OUT of the Economy!

But, I am looking at this the wrong way.

This isn't about facts or logic.

It's about either For the Low Info Voter - Caring and Sharing! and all that Bull

or B. For their Communism Revolutionary Handlers - Power and Control.

Nothing Says Communist Control like a good famine!

Ukraine's Carbon Footprint was in the negative in '32 and '33.

“We pay a tax on gasoline in order to motivate us to conserve fossil fuels, which in turn is aimed at reducing pollution and combating climate change.......”

Brain dead. The only reason the author thinks taxes exist is for social engineering. I guess that’s what gas taxes do. They sure as hell don’t get spent on fixing roads.

All these years I thought that the gasoline tax was to maintain roads. Now I find out that it was to force us to use less gas.

Should meat be taxed like alcohol and cigarettes?

Well yes, in the sense that none of them should have taxes above and beyond any other legal good.

a sin tax on meat, cheese and other animal-based foods.

How about a sin tax, Heather, on actual sins?

Like wife beaters, drug dealers, child molesters, armed robbers, murderers, embezzlers, etc.?

How about a sin tax, Heather, on these things that are truly crimes .... rather than a tax on legal products that a person eats?
