[history]
At this time of year, the last thing anyone wants to think about is paying more taxes. But there's one tax I'm in favor of - and you should be, too, if you care about your health and the health of the planet: a sin tax on meat, cheese and other animal-based foods.

All these years I thought that the gasoline tax was to maintain roads. Now I find out that it was to force us to use less gas.

Should meat be taxed like alcohol and cigarettes? Well yes, in the sense that none of them should have taxes above and beyond any other legal good.

a sin tax on meat, cheese and other animal-based foods. How about a sin tax, Heather, on actual sins?
Like wife beaters, drug dealers, child molesters, armed robbers, murderers, embezzlers, etc.?
How about a sin tax, Heather, on these things that are truly crimes .... rather than a tax on legal products that a person eats?

Let’s just tax rich politicians.
$100,000 for each pound over their ideal weight.

If they put a “sin tax” on meat, I’m going to start eating vegans. Fair warning.

You’re breaking my heart with that rare sliced beef!
Not rare enough; when the grill’s got a good bed of coals I wave the steak at it & serve.

Maybe we should just go out and graze the lawn, eliminating the need for lawnmowers and their pollution factor.
Plus, think of what the fiber would do for your general bowel function.

“it would not only stimulate the economy”
Only idiot liberals believe that taking money away from the people and giving it to the government “stimulates the economy”.

How about we tax stupidity? If we did that, Heather would have a big bill at the end of the year and we could easily get rid of the income tax.

If liberals had their way there would be a 200% per gallon tax on gasoline.

If Congress were to levy a 10-cent tax on every pound of meat sold in grocery stores and restaurants - and a modest sin tax on each dairy item and carton of eggs - it would not only stimulate the economy She obviously went to an Ivy League College.
Only in a really good socialist indoctrination center could you learn such drivel.
I needed read no further to know that this person was an Ivy League idiot.
To think that taxes stimulate the economy to be so totally devoid of common sense and so deeply in to navel gazing as to be peaking out your own anus.
