I do best on a board. I chucked the mattress a year ago and sleep on reed mats on a board.

Try sleeping on a FIR pad. I have been doing it since diagnosed with arthritis,
it get warm, ya need a fan, but I am good to go.
Far infrared Heat.
Totally addicted.
