I once made the mistake of vacationing in Ft. Lauderdale during spring break. This was about 30 years ago. Never again. Drunk and disorderly doesn't begin to describe it.

A number of towns are actively discouraging spring break. A resident of CLearwater Beach told me recently that was the real reason why the beach area is undergoing a makeover. Used to be plenty of low rent motels. Many of them are gone now — replaced by expensive hotels and condos. Trying to keep the riff-raff away by making staying there unaffordable.

Virginia Beach will no longer do

All of the serious crime in PCB spring break is black
