The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you. This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks.
No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked. It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. Planting, Harvest to Table(recipes)preserving, good living - there is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
NOTE: This is a once a week ping list. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest are welcomed, so feel free to post them at any time.

Good progress on the construction front.
If she is using regular soil, that almost always has damping off issues.
Use the Esposa Organic Seed Starter, and make sure it’s not too wet, but don’t let it dry out completely.

We don’t have any rhubarb. Our asparagus isn’t up yet either. It’s volunteer plant. We are newly classed as zone 6, but have always been zone 5, and I try to get zone 4 stuff just to make sure.

I have Huckabee’s every year nesting in my bluebird boxes. They love them. We are in the woods with plenty of predators too.

That's OK then, I thought you were trying to pull a fast one on me......LOL!
As a side note, I have a garden window above my kitchen sink and on the outside of the house I placed the bird house about 4 feet to the left of the garden window.
Since I didn't want to inspect the bird house again for fear of scaring the Huckabees away, I placed a mirror on an angle in the window so that I can observe the bird house thru the side window. I've been keeping an eye on the house for the past hour and there has been an increased activity in the Huckabees in bringing in the moss to build their nest..........That's a good sign!

Here is their site. Go to SOILS and click architech specs, you will receive a PDF Spec sheet in your downloaded folder. (I do not know how to convert PPM to %). It is interesting.
