Bigger burgers will be back on the menu at McDonalds, at least for a while.
McDonalds says its introducing a trio of Sirloin Third Pound burgers for a limited time starting later this month, the latest sign the chain is pushing to improve perceptions about the quality of its food.
The sirloin burgers would have the biggest beef patties on the chains menu and come after McDonalds dropped its Angus Third Pounders in 2013. At the time, some analysts said the Angus burgers were too pricey for McDonalds customers.
McDonalds says the sirloin burgers will cost around $4.99, although franchisees can determine their own prices.

But why? I’d rather they simplify their menu so they could sell the Big Mac and Quarter Pounder for US$1.99 per sandwich.
Finally!
You and me both. They never should have fixed what wasn’t broke in the first place.
Will they start using actual Meat Again?
That means just one more thing that McDemocrats makes that my family won’t eat.
Perish the thought!
I want my Angus Mushroom & Swiss back.
McDonald was overpriced crap when they were 13 cents or 1$ a dozen and are still overpriced crap!
I remember buying a double cheeseburger at McDonald’s a few years ago. After unwrapping it, I got a little angry because it looked to be a single cheeseburger. But before I went to complain, I decided to disassemble the burger to have a closer look.
What I discovered was that there WAS a a two hamburger patties, but that they were so thin that they appeared to be one. I was able to separate the patties with my fingernail and then peel them apart.
I stopped going to McDonald’s after that...
In my area, which has been the founding location for many food chains, we have plenty to choose from.
McDonalds is not even close to the running.
Chipotle, I N Out Burgers, The Habit, Rubio’s,to name a few.

Personally I don’t care as long as it ia cheap and tastes edible enough to eat.
I would be okay if they made a “McOats” burger that was 50% Oat Bran mixed with 50% Turkey meat with beef flavouring but it was a 1/3 pound patty and the same price as a McDouble and came with an extra cheese slice.
Just as long as they were up front about it and touted it as a money saving alternative.
I think it is funny that libs will happily eat immitation crab meat at parties yet get snobby about the food at taco bell and taco bell and other cheap fast food that they never eat anyways!
You are one hungry puppy!!!
I’m stating to find McDonald’s food to really be gross.
I think I’ll stick with BK, especially since they’ve changed their fries and nuggets.
