Thanks to both of you. I’ve had that little gif for many years but took off the text and musical notes and used it on ‘illegal’ political posts, haha!

The School Of Pain May 6, 2015
I know, O
Lord, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
Psalm 119:75
In his book The Problem of Pain, C. S. Lewis observes that God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world. Suffering often helps us to redirect our focus. It shifts our thinking from immediate circumstances so we can listen to God concerning His work in our lives. Life as usual is replaced by a spiritual schoolroom.
In the Old Testament, we read how the psalmist maintained a teachable heart even during painful circumstances. He accepted them as orchestrated by God, and in submission he prayed, In faithfulness You have afflicted me (Ps. 119:75). Isaiah the prophet viewed suffering as a refining process: Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction (Isa. 48:10). And Job, despite his laments, learned about the sovereignty and greatness of God through his troubles (Job 4042).
We are not alone in our experience of pain. God Himself took on human form and suffered greatly: For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps (1 Peter 2:21). The One with nail-scarred hands is near. He will comfort us and teach us in our suffering.
Dear Lord, life is so hard sometimes. I confess that I dont always see Your purpose in my trials. Help me to trust You, and teach me to become the person that You desire me to be.
We learn the lesson of trust in the school of trial.
: Psalm 119 speaks of the priority and sufficiency of Gods Word in the daily life of the believer. Here the psalmist admitted that he had strayed, but having been disciplined by God, he now resolved to keep [His] Word (v. 67).

*Welcome To Warm Fuzzy Wednesday*

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him
and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!
***
Summer Sun
Great is the sun, and wide he goes
Through empty heaven with repose;
And in the blue and glowing days
More thick than rain he showers his rays.
Though closer still the blinds we pull
To keep the shady parlour cool,
Yet he will find a chink or two
To slip his golden fingers through.
The dusty attic spider-clad
He, through the keyhole, maketh glad;
And through the broken edge of tiles
Into the laddered hay-loft smiles.
Meantime his golden face around
He bares to all the garden ground,
And sheds a warm and glittering look
Among the ivys inmost nook.
Above the hills, along the blue,
Round the bright air with footing true,
To please the child, to paint the rose,
The gardener of the World, he goes.

PRAISE THE LORD! EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE THERE HAS BEEN FOOD TO EAT, FREEDOM TO MOVE AROUND FREELY, (DURING THE World WAR 2 WE HAD LIMITS ON GASOLINE USE, SHOES, SUGAR, COFFEE, etc.) WE HAD freedom of movement, and life choices.) America has flourished. The current leadership has indebted America to a crushing debt. The sad thing is we have nothing to show for it. No improvement of highway systems, or infrastructure (bridges, etc), our military has been weakened seriously. Generals removed, nothing has happened to STOP these actions... We are praying for America
Heavenly Father, we pray for AMERICA not to be destroyed my EVIL, forgive us our sins, thank Thee LORD for there being nothing to hard for Thee, we bow before Thee in faith of Thy Word, in Jesus name, amen.
