I’d like to get a hold of one of those green ones!
Good thread. I have both kinds, Willys and American Motors. The Willys is pretty much operational but I am sending it off to a shop for a few things. There is this place I found that specializes in old and new 4WD builds, rebuilds, and modifications.
A couple of weekends ago when I had to go to the mines for my nemesis (printer problems), I finally got it through my head at the rate I am going, both projects have fallen so far behind.
The AMC has a bad engine and I plan to re-engine it this summer as long as the budget tracks.
I am also paring down in a few other places. Right now I am parting with an old K5 blazer project vehicle. In a way I hate to but sitting up is what kills them. At lot of people on Ebay are interested in it. I’m surprised for an old bucket.
Despite feeling sick and miserable the past couple of days I rolled this very basic demo clip to show it run and moves.

I own a couple of cars and I still have my trusty Jeep WJ. 98K miles for a 10 yr old car. Only men drive Jeeps..
PS my only damn issue is the TPMS sensor on the wheels. Other than that, it’s perfect.
FIAT.
Jeep Survivor, Future SUV.
My only problem was, it's white and it snowed the day after I got it and I couldn't find the %$&# thing! :-P
When I lived in the Rockies I wanted a Jeep so bad I could taste it! I ended up with a VW THING which fell apart parked in the driveway. It DID get me to the top of La Plata Canyon!
Next I got a Jeep V-8 Renegade which my wife told me to sell so she would have a vehicle she could get into.
Next it was a Scout which cost bou-coup of money to keep running. I almost had apoplexy when I found what a simple windshield wiper cost. $18 bux each! And that was thirty years ago! The Scout was later stolen, never recovered.
So I bought a used 1980 6 cyl Jeep someone had set up for muding. I still have that one, and I am no where near the Rockies now. Then there are the two 4-WD pickups I’ve bought.
Anyone see where I live understands why I need a 4-WD.
Does this thread discriminate? Exclusive = racist ha know.

SINCE this IS FR...can I give a shout out to very utilitarian, Trail Rated PATRIOT? Not as much off road glory as the Wranglers...but a reliable workhorse.
I <3 my Jeep!
Funny you posted this. I’ve been having jeep obsessions lately.
Concepts that Jeep will never build.
Why? Because they're too damn cool.
