According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Eagles coach Chip Kelly has just turned his own personal dont-give-a-damn meter to 11, bringing quarterback Tim Tebow in for a workout.
Hes just messing with us at this point.
The idea of Tebow and Mark Sanchez together again is almost too perfect to put into words. Kelly carries himself with a smartest-guy-in-the-room vibe anyway, but bringing in a guy the rest of the NFL had given up on speaks to a bit of hubris.
Could Tebow run the Eagles system, considering his roots running a spread offense at Florida? Sure. Maybe. Who knows?

Elways first two years were an unmitigated disaster - much worse than Tebow’s. And his career turned out OK
Anti-christian Tebow-haters
Good God. Are you liberal? No. You sound like it. You expect everyone to accept Tebow because he is a Christian? Really? He is not a good player. You act like one of those people who was Valedictorian in High School but only got a C average in College.....just because you were good in the small leagues doesn’t mean that you will be good in the big leagues. I am shocked by your ridiculous post. It is not like you at all. Also I suppose you expect us to bow down to Nancy Pelosi? She is Christian after all.
No. They just traded Nick Folz for Sam Bradford so they're eschewing Folz's pocket ability.
I can't imagine what he's thinking about with the oft injured Bradford.
However, in the Oregon system, Tebow would have a chance as a running option type quarterback as a backup to a Marriota type QB. Don't be surprised if Philly tries to trade up with Bradford to obtain rights to Mariotta. Tebow would be a perfect backup in tat scenario.
Not at the pro level.
Rex probably lost his job over his quarterback decisions.
Two years after he cut him? I doubt it.
I think a lot of people wanted Tebow to fail because he is openly religious. The same people who react like vampires to Holy Water if anyone mentions God. I am in opposition to them. I want him to succeed because anti-Christian haters want him to fail.
I will have to live with “not good enough to play at the pro level” but I don’t have to like it.
And Nancy Pelosi is no christian...
Ouch. Facts are stubborn things...
The first five weeks of the season were dominated by a quarterback controversy involving Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow, with fans voicing their displeasure with the play of Orton, which resulted in a 14 start, and the public outcry for Tebow to be moved to starter. On October 11, Tebow was named the starting quarterback beginning with the team's Week 7 game at the Miami Dolphins on October 23. Tebow compiled an 85 record (including the playoffs, with a six-game win streak from Weeks 914) since replacing Orton, including game-winning drives in the fourth quarter and/or overtime in six of those games, despite constant criticism of his unorthodox mechanics and abilities as a passer.
It was Julius Erving; and he never developed a decent jump shot.
He had his best chance with the Pats and it went nowhere. Stick a fork in him.
Well I don’t disagree with you that some don’t want him because he is Christian....although the NFL has a ton of Christians on their teams but that is for a different time. I just wish that Tebow would go with his strengths that God gave him. I would love to be a Doctor but that will NEVER happen because I know what my strengths are and they are not a lot of Science courses....so I went with my strengths and went the MBA route and have done pretty well. Had I gone medicine I could have been miserable and maybe even failed regardless of my desires.
It appears they’ve decided not to sign him.

Nonsense. Curt Warner and Jon Kitna were both openly, unabashedly Christians and nobody was cheering for them to fail. Why? Because they were good at their position and able to perform at the pro level. And there were a lot of others as well.
I will have to live with not good enough to play at the pro level but I dont have to like it.
And who's fault is that?
And what a memory to cherish.
You can love him all you want. He has been weighed and measured, and he has come up wanting.
I actually played against Dr J. His shot back then was non existremt. A brick. Same at UMasd. Same in the ABA. It got much better than it was when he joined the NBA. But thanks for the spelling lesson.
During the regular season in Denver Tebow threw for 12 TD’s, ran for another 6, vs 6 interceptions in 11 games. And of course had a winning record. Not bad measurements.
You forgot half a dozen fumbles, a completion percentage below 50 and a 5 game stretch where he threw less than 10 times each. His “measurements” actually are terrible. He is, quite simply, not an NFL caliber QB.
I’d wager that most of the pro-Tebow folks here have no idea who Curt Warner and Jon Kitna are.
Probably not, since they were able to play at the pro level. Or Colt McCoy. Or Russell Wilson. Or any of the other NFL players who have no problems showing their faith on the field.
I believe most if not all of those fumbles occurred in games he lost, and where he was behind and taking chances. He still had a winning record (the most important statistic) with a big playoff win over a 12-4 team.
Doesn’t matter when those fumbles happened. In the end he has barely more TDs than turnovers. And as for “his” winning record it’s a 53 man roster, and during his tenure the defense shaved 13 points a game off what they allowed. If they’d performed that way when Orton was the QB Orton would have been 4-1 and Tebow never would have started, if they’d played the Tebow portion of the season the way they started he’d have gone 2-9. The fact is that the team as whole, with a terrible QB, limped to 8-8, won a bad division, and beat a Pittsburgh team crushed by injuries (they had no starters on the defensive line at the start of the game, and suffered more injuries during) and not nearly as good as their record. Then let’s remember they proceeded to go to NE and get killed in the next round.
He’s a nice guy. Good guy. Good teammate. Terrible QB. Basically he’s the white version of Kordell Stewart, another guy with lots of dynamic presence and good to have on the field that never should have been given the starting QB job.
The fact is the team played better when Tebow started, and there was a reason for that. In the games he won he was very productive and protected the ball.
Tebow’s success due to production and protection, not magic
