An unretouched Marie Claire photo of Cindy Crawford leaked on Friday, in which the 48-year-old supermodel looks pretty amazing posing in a black bra, undies, a furry coat and a hat. Marie Claire commented on the photo, sharing that its origins are actually from a December 2013 cover story from Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America.
"No matter where the photo came from, it's an enlightenment -- we've always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more," the magazine writes."[The photo] is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous."

They make a point of showing a moderately overweight woman or an older woman, and without outright saying it, they are trying to make men feel guilty for thinking that a young woman is more attractive physically to them than the less physically attractive female. What is unsaid (or even sometimes it is said) is: "Why are you shallow men attracted to a young nubile woman, when you can have a more physically imperfect woman who has a better brain and personality?"
I simply think it flies in the face of biology. I am an older guy, and I look at someone like this:
And it makes me feel, well...hey! That is one singularly attractive woman! (never mind, to paraphrase what Herb Brooks once said of a hockey player, I believe she might have: "A million dollar body and a ten cent fart for a brain", but...she is indeed attractive.
I admire a woman with engaging personality, intellect, and common sense, and that goes a long way towards being attractive to me, but if I see a 20 year old cheerleader from a college and a fifty-plus woman with a lined face, both can be attractive, but in the absence of anything else (all things being equal) the young woman is closer to bringing out the wolf in me than the older woman. I think it is simply biology at work, it is the way we are wired. Men are very visual. (There's a big surprise!)
Now, five minutes of conversation and interaction may change that completely. But men die younger than women, and there is a reason for that:
Thanks, but none of the above.
I was sitting on the porch of our doctor’s office, waiting the obligatory interminable time to be seen and hating the world.
Hubby remarked upon my expression so I thought I would preserve it for posterity.
[unnecessarily because I look like that all the time, really. Royally p*ssed]
;D
It’s not something I’d want to say.
LOL
Heh, I was on a thread the other day about some Republican lawmaker who wanted to outlaw yoga pants, and as usual, the thread didn’t disappoint when some Freeper said:
“Finally! DOWN WITH YOGA PANTS!”
I look at your pic of that lady and see nothing but silicon implants. Eh
We’re genetically programed to select mates based on ability to propagate our genes, an older successful man has the means to afford multiple children and wisdom and wealth to pass on.
A younger woman has the ability to bear many children.
Worse, before Ignatz Semmeweis women often died following childbirth, and mothers had to be replaced. The only cohort available was the younger one.
Perhaps. I don’t know one way or another, but the point I was making is, it is often a visual thing for men, I think it is the way God wired us.
It doesn’t mean men have to be like rutting animals, boors, disrespectful or unfaithful. It just means that a woman with a fine face and figure is going to attract attention from normal men.
That was before she had her implants removed...
I agree.
That said, I do believe we are men and not animals, and so can control our urges along these lines, so saying we are wired for it doesn’t give men carte blanche to act in any fashion that pleases them (although some do)
I’d say the same thing of Cindy that I said of Madonna: there comes an age where folks need to put their clothes on and leave that sort of semi-nude cavorting to the 20-somethings. Most of us look better fully dressed.
She does tease me occasionally when I develop a old guy crush on some actress I see in a movie...I went through a Sandra Bullock phase, and she would tease me like a grade school kid would tease another one about a girl he has a crush on...:)
I saw another picture of Scarlett Johannson that made me think of something completely different; this was taken on a trip to Iraq sometime in the last decade, and what struck me about it was what a gentleman this Marine must have been, with his...ahem...elevated perspective, to keep his eyes in the appropriate polite direction!
And then I saw this picture of a tennis star taking a tour of some five star restaurant in Europe, and the chef looked like he must have been tearing his eyeball muscles to avoid looking where most men might instinctively glance:
It is true of guys, too...sometimes even more so!
We, unique among the animals, can be better than our genetics compel.

Side note. Her husband likes guys and she likes women and vice versa. Rumors of swapping in hollywood about her and her husband and George Clooney. I read a site called Blind Gossip and other sites from time to time and they put out stories and the commenters go at it. Example http://blindgossip.com/?p=51057
