Brian Williams, the face of the NBC News division and among its most visible personalities for the past decade, has been suspended from his post at??Nightly News for six months without pay.??
Lester Holt, who has been filling in for Williams since Feb. 9, will continue as interim anchor of Nightly News.
"We have decided today to suspend Brian Williams as Managing Editor and Anchor of NBC Nightly News for six months. The suspension will be without pay and is effective immediately," NBC News president Deborah Turness said in a memo, adding that "this was a very hard decision. Certainly there will be those who disagree. But we believe this suspension is the appropriate and proportionate action."

So basically they said: “take and extended vacation and Les will keep you seat warm”.
And they’ll think America will forget all about him. When he comes back people will say “who’s that guy?”
So the multi millionaire gets to enjoy his wealth for six months, eh? Must be nice.
Good riddance. Perhaps this will keep the rest of the talking heads in check for a short while.
Poor baby. Has to scrape by on $6 million for 6 months.
Six months will give NBC time to see if Lester Holt can handle the anchor job and time to find a replacement if he doesn’t pan out.

Because basically integrity is not a big factor on our network and we had no idea people would get so upset about this.
Brian will end up as a speech writer for Obama.
Appears the Left is already starting to try to rehabilitate him. On Twitter:
“Of all the lies I’ve been told about Iraq, Brian William’s lie bothers me the least. #wmd”
They just don’t realize the lies were that no WMDs were found.
On yet another hand, he may be delusional enough to come back in 6 months as if nothing ever happened.
I sense that the six month suspension will mean the end...of his career, at least at NBC,
I cant imagine anyone coming back from being shamed by their employer and performing very well. or having much or an audience

Not fired? Do they understand that there is NO credibility in the news?
There are a couple of things that will result in instant termination: lying on a resume, and lying about your work.
Who the hell would listen to anything the news drones have to say at this point?
No. That means he's toast. Six months from now, NBC will say 'Brian Who?"
I don't know (or really even care) what the guy will do with himself from here on out, but it is pretty obvious that he will always be ridiculed and laughed at no matter what it is.
He did an Alinsky on himself. Sad to watch a suicide.
Mr. Brian Williams could make use of his predisposition.. I Was There. Seriously. Could be a success.. if an honest attempt was made to present events without bias.
Will he have to write , “I’ll never lie again” a few million times , LOL
