What is it about photos of abortion victims that enrages people so much?
On February 4, a homeowner gone wild attacked a team of Created Equals young pro-life activists who were demonstrating outside Beechcroft High School in Columbus, Ohio, as school was being dismissed.
Video of the incident shows the man, identified as Curtis Hall, crossing the street to berate Created Equals Josh Bertsch and Jami Beer (pictured with police officer below left and middle) before stealing and destroying their signs.
Hall shouted, Get em out of here or I am going to break em. He proceeded to knock signs over and take three, which he carried across the street and broke before throwing them in front of traffic.
Heres video of the episode (WARNING: offensive language)
Hall later told 10TV News he is neither pro-life nor pro-choice he just thinks the demonstration is inappropriate.
But why would it be inappropriate to educate abortion-vulnerable high school students on the reality of abortion?
2015-02-06_1028Created Equal filed charges against Hall yesterday and demanded repayment of $120 for the broken signs.
This morning I spoke with Created Equals Executive Director, Mark Harrington, and Director of Training, Seth Drayer.
They indicated Hall wrote an email last night apologizing for his behavior.
It is Created Equals policy to drop charges if apologies are sincere, although it would still require financial restitution. Halls sincerity will likely be put to the test today, because Created Equal has scheduled a return demonstration to Beechcroft High School.
Created Equal has six months to decide whether or not to proceed with charges.

“That fat SOB would be searching for a competent surgeon to put his face back together if he had tried to take those from me. Hes pretty brave picking on a young girl but I guarantee hed have a whole new concern had I been there.”
And you would be in jail. Really worth it?
Yes, I’m too old to worry about reputation and some people desperately need correction. Plus, Ive been told I have a pretty good game face. I think if this p*ssy were facing someone in his own weight class his courage might be a bit elusive.
“Yes, Im too old to worry about reputation “
As long as your wife doesn’t mind visiting you in prison ...
“They probably arent aborted fetuses but miscarriages.
Misscarriages don’t some out torn in pieces. Miscarriages don’t have scissors cuts in the back of the neck. Miscarriages were not burned by saline salt. Miscarriages are not stabbed in the chest or skulls with scissors. I could go on and on and maybe you might get the point. These pictures are an abortion.
“Why would anyone take a picture of an aborted fetus?”
So people will see the damn truth of what it is!!! No one believe what was going on in Nazi Germany until we saw the pictures.
*********************
That's not correct.
Again, faced with someone in his own weight class, I think he’d temper his aggression.
Actually miscarriages do. If they fetus does not leave on its own, they have to do a DNC.
BTDT.
The man came across the road, and onto public property and caused a disturbance, and verbally threatened an individual. He, then, STOLE/ROBBED/CONFISCATED without legal authority, other people’s property. He acted to intimidate, and cease a gathering of individuals in a public place.
I’d sue his butt off, for damages, for his house, his car, and his job.
When I was 12, my best friend showed me some abortion photos on the school bus. Until then I was unaware of what abortion really was and leaned pro-choice because of what the media had led me to believe. I became pro-life from that point on, and for that I will be eternally grateful to her.
People NEED to see these images at least one time in their lives if they are ever to know the TRUTH. I will grant that the proper delivery is probably ideal for the best reception, but we don’t always have that luxury.
The nut case should be charged...
What if those images are not aborted fetuses. How would you feel?
You are one of what is wrong with this country.
What kind of legal force can be used to stop someone from stealing and destroying your property?
Why are you so convinced that they can’t be real? Do you not want to believe it? Do you hold a “sanitized” image of abortion in your mind that you don’t want challenged? Is there some hurt involved for you? I pray not.
Pictures could be taken for documentary purposes, for instance to ensure that all aspects of the procedure are followed correctly, to avoid claims of liability. Or they could be taken for use in training materials for future abortionists. Pro-life activists working with medical workers have ways of gaining access to things, not just photos smuggled but actual aborted infants themselves! Dumpster diving outside of clinics! They have gone to heroic lengths and done some very, very risky and uncomfortable things in order that the truth comes out.
Besides that, if a creep like Kermit Gosnell kept babies’ feet in jars it really isn’t a stretch to believe photos could be taken by anyone involved in abortion for any purpose. It’s not exactly an endeavor ruled by sanity or reason.
Still, I do need to mention that either you or trisham said something along the lines of miscarriages having to be removed by d&c. So what is the problem? The photos would be showing what happens during a d&c abortion ! Abortion rips a baby apart, even if, in your theoretical example, the one depicted was already dead, it doesn't change the fact that those images would show EXACTLY what is done to the live ones!
Too vague too answer.
Because you want to walk the tightrope of “these babies are precious” and “these babies should be used for propaganda purposes”.
Besides, you can photoshop anything these days so how do we know they are even real?
I put these people in the same basket as PETA showing pictures of tortured animals to people at restaurants. They are trying to titillate, not educate.
No, he would not be in jail. A person is justified in using reasonable force to defend himself and his property.
“No, he would not be in jail. A person is justified in using reasonable force to defend himself and his property.”
A black belt ‘re-arranging’ an old dude’s face would not be considered reasonable.
Do you tire of abortion? Do you think it is murder or a choice? Why would you even believe that these pictures are not the real deal?
