Nine days before the bow of Universal’s Fifty Shades Of Grey, insiders are predicting that the film is on track to open to $60M over four days, with a huge bounce on Valentine’s Day.
Given how the studio specifically positioned the film over the holiday to capitalize on the mega date night, the question among insiders is whether Fifty Shades is a couples’ film or a girls night (a la when Warner Bros released Sex And The City to $57M in late May 2008). One rival distribution chief believes that young women will hook their boyfriends into seeing Fifty Shades Of Grey, while older women will go in groups.

I agree with your wife. And thank goodness there are parents like you left who will shelter their children.
So much lack of respect and lack of modesty in our culture. While I am waiting in the checkout line at the grocery store and see the words on many of the magazines, I am so thankful that I am no longer raising children. Disgusting junk there.
BTW, I turn the magazines around if the covers are offensive, a trick I learned from my late mother.

I can just imagine the stories EMTs will be trading after responding to any variety of bedroom games gone wrong from seeing this movie.
Glamorizing rape? Obviously it’s not being read on college campuses, then.
More like if your significant other drags you into seeing this you are 100% guaranteed to wake up the following morning with a smile on your face.
It’s a comment on the success of the book and movie. It’s not an opinion I hold.

It’s so strange, the young girls are so believing the rape culture that they’ve had shoved down their throats, but this smut, they think is wonderful. The feminazis have played a terrific trick.
I’ve heard that the book is completely awful as a story. If it weren’t for the sex, it wouldn’t have been read at all.
I read a synopsis of the book that claimed 50 Shades is child porn because the female character reads like a 14 or 15 year old girl, who uses terms like “by golly!” and does other things that run counter to the idea that she is actually 21 years old.
