I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

Yep. We're all under scrutiny to the "n"th degree.

Hey, you know it's the truth... ;-)

I'm working on a print job for someone who happens to know I have a fairly decent laser printer o'er there on the shelf. Nothing fancy - it's a newsletter - 3 pages duplexed (6 printed pages) and she wants it on 28# paper which comes in 300 page instead of 500 page reams. Anyway, she wants 150 copies so that takes 1 1/2 reams to print.

I got through 138 copies and ran out of the 28# paper. I sent her an email informing her of this issue and mentioned that I could finish the last 12 copies on 24# paper (which I have) if she wanted else I would need to run out later to see if Wallyworld has what she wants in stock. If the Walmartians don't have it she will need to wait while I order some more because Staples price for the same thing is double what Wallyworld charges.

The only way I can do this for what she's paying me is if I avoid buying at retail. My source online is $7/ream and free shipping, Wallyworld is $9/ream and Staples is $19/ream. (And Heaven forbid that I run out of toner - Staples wants $190 for a 'genuine HP' cartridge but EBay is consistantly half that for HP and around $50 if I'm willing to use 'compatable'.) If I have to buy paper or toner at Staples I will end up printing her newsletter for less than free.

Sort of like Wash DC and the deficit spending..

And on that note I'm out of here. Tomorrow's project if it quits raining - actually today's project since it's tomorrow now - is put-the-rebuilt-carburetor back in the Redriding Thing.. and then see if it starts and reveals more damage.

Han Solo is thrown back in time to find himself in a cheap motel on NJ Route 17 listening to "She's Got Bette Davis Eyes" playing loudly in the next room.

Been there, done that, have the hologram.

Hobbit Lady of the Lake's castle. She passes out Ginsu knives to wayfaring strangers.

Hobbit unclear on concept of divine rule but hungry nonetheless opens Japanese Steakhouse, makes a fortune, now spends his days racing cigarette boats on Lady's Lake.

Citing noise regulations LotL transforms hobbit into duck. Ginsu knife operation shuts down, tranquility restored.

I’m up. Not a happy person today, after some obnoxious text messages during the night.

I know what he’s doing. It’s wearing on my nerves.

The local Walmart is remodeling and it is really a mess to try and shop there. They do most of the work on Graveyard, and are usually in middle of hugh messes by the time I waltz in before the sun is up.

It’s a Walmartian obs-tackle course.

It’s a shame you can’t take a cup of coffee, set up a lawn chair, and watch the freak show. I think there’s an unappreciated suburban-tourism economic opportunity there ...

It's probably not appropriate to wear your hospital gown while shopping at Walmart, even if you are celebrating.

Back from Wally World where I got a NEW blue plastic box fan. I plugged it in and it blew me out the door. It was on Medium. So I turned it to low, and I’m enjoying the gentle breeze that was denied me only an hour earlier! YAY!

Now for some coffee.
