I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

Ceirdwyn seems to have talent for looking disheveled.

Lassie wasn’t much good at anything but barking at Timmy’s mom in some unintelligible language.

And no wonder: Lassie was a Laddie...

I still think the theory that Lassie was trying to destroy Timmy fits the evidence best.
Lassie goes outside, Timmy follows.
Lassie leads Timmy to some horrid creature.
Timmy starts getting chased, Lassie excitedly watches until doom seems assured, then heads back to the parents.
Lassie then brags about how Timmy has finally been destroyed.
The parents somehow home in on Timmy with Lassie assured they will find his gruesome remains.
Timmy somehow still alive..Lassie is shocked.

Like I said: Lassie was a Laddie. For some reason, it was thought a male dog would be “easier to train,” and besides: with all that hair, who could tell the difference?

So trying to do away with Timmy could be explained by jealousy...yah, that’s the ticket: The dog was jealous. ;o]

*e-vil laughter*

I always imagined Lassie speaking with a Colonel Klink voice to Timmy’s parents as he described the destruction “even now enveloping your pathetic progeny!”

Even though the dog breed is Scottish...a Colonel Klink voice is befitting, somehow...

The meeting was pretty darn boring. I could use a nap, but I have to go to Walmart.

You want boring? Try watching log files while a Java app is deploying.

Try watching grass grow. That would actually be more interesting.

My first cat died in 2002. ( both my kitties actually died on the same day but years apart. Strange).

I had her cremated and kept her favorite toy, a catnip heart, that was all chewed up and salivated on, in my underwear drawer.

My parents came over a few months later when I was working abroad, to check on my things. Needless to say, they found the cremains and the toy. Cremains were buried in the back yard because they freaked my mother out, and the toy was thrown out because my mother thought it was dirty,

It’s the only time in my life I really was upset with my parents, all I have left of that cat is her food bowl and pictures.

When my other girl died I had another vet. She put the cremains in a cherry wood box, and had her little paw print placed in cement so I have her with me.

I really miss my kitties, life to me is barely livable without one.

Best thing on TV. A live cam of kittens.

I’m guilty of watching this 24/7.

Could you ping this to your lists so everyone can gaze at the kittens awesomeness?

See 5317.

Best thing on the Internet. Better than watching grass grow. Watching kittens grow!

How odd. My brothers died on September 5, 1989 and 1990.

Favorite brother who loved me a lot died 1989.
Creepy oldest half-brother who treated me like s**t died in 1990.

And I also empathize with you about your mother’s extremely bad
behavior of burying your precious kitty’s ashes and throwing out
her toy. I’m not sure how I would have handled that. Probably by
keeping my raging anger in check until they left.

After I was sure I wouldn’t shoot them, I would probably write a
well-though-out and gentle letter explaining that my things are
not theirs to throw away, no matter how dirty or dead they are.

I’m sorry about your brothers, TOL. I really am.

My mother didn’t realize what it was. She was missing me, and went through my apt to get it nice and pretty for me since I had been working for three weeks abroad in London. She had dusted, watered plants, got mail, etc.

She did the laundry I had in the laundry pail and was putting it away and just decided to throw it out, not realizing what it was.

She felt bad about it later.

I put the other cats toys in a small cardboard box and labeled it. Mom knows she can’t throw it out.

I’ve also tried to explain healthy adult boundaries to her. She knows now if I’m away not to move anything or throw out anything that isn’t garbage. She has in the past gotten rid of clothing she thought was out of style or I’ve outgrown and given to charity.

I’m a little on the pack rat side. Still drives my mother nuts. She and my dad are the opposite.
