YAY!! I just got a call from the Muffler Shop! The part is at the dealership and will be at the shop later this afternoon.

I can’t take the truck in until Tuesday, but that’s OK. In a way, I wish it would have come in this coming Monday, as I don’t get paid until Friday, and have to get it registered as soon as I get it home, and I don’t have the gelt to do that.

Still, the truck should get better mileage after the part in installed. I’m happy!

The Muffler Shop does all kinds of repairs, but their labor rate is only $58. And their work is guaranteed.

Tomorrow, we are going “over the hump to Pahrump” to look at trucks. We went to two dealerships this morning, and Busdaddy is so disgusted with the sales tactics, he has decided to go to the next county to look.

There are two other places to go...St. George UT and Bullhead City AZ, but we will not go to either place this weekend. We’ll see what Pahrump has to offer. Maybe they aren’t so stinking stupid.

Just bring a calculator. I don’t care about any of their fancy-schmancy jargon about allowances and rebates and trades and whatever. I just want to know how much money they want from me and does that include my trade.

They make it hard to figure that part out until you’ve signed, which is why you need your own calculator.

They were all stupid. Busdaddy has no credit because he doesn’t have credit cards. They offered him $4000 for his truck as trade-in and wanted $1000 in cash. NOT! Then asked what Busdaddy wanted to pay a month. Let’s see what we can work out before I tell you that...

I have been so keyed up all month that I find that I’m clenching my teeth again, and that not only hurts my facial muscles but it puts undue pressure on my teeth. Now I just have to hope the late fees aren’t too steep from waiting for three days after it passes smog.

Busdaddy is so fed up with dealerships, but if he could afford the repairs on the Towdog, he wouldn’t be looking for something else to drive.
