Am I the only person watching this "football game" (which is actually a good football game) annoyed by these annoying lectures, masquerading as commercials, about how powerful, capable, independent and valuable women are, so we barbaric men shouldn't devalue them, disrespect them (not actually a word) or hit them? Is this really what we need to be told while we're trying to just watch a ball game? I know the rest of the culture insists on this, but aren't men the primary clientele of the NFL? Why does the NFL have to subject us to this nonsense?
MRAs, huh?
What’s unclear is the connection between prostitution and commercials that try to make men look like idiots. I guess you see a connection somewhere, so...
Back when I was growing up most girls threw a certain way and it wasn't good.
Perhaps most girls nowadays throw like Bob Gibson and Joe Namath, what do know.
The only way they can let women into the SEALS and Rangers is to lower the physical requirements. Not that they care much about that kind of thing, so they probably will.
Must be all the pot smoking now, but the SB commercials this year are the worst ever. They ought to be paying us for watching them.
Here is an example, True Facts About The Owl.
Oddly enough, when I first saw that video, I thought I recognized the voice actor in it, as it reminds me of the guy who voiced and provided the physical model for Agent 47 in the Hitman series of video games, David Bateson. He has a very distinctive voice as well... not sure if all 3 things here are really connected.
This is an awesome video that sums it all up perfectly. Great soundtrack, too!
That’s not what it means at all. I hate to break it to you, but on average males are taller, bigger, stronger, faster, and generally more athletic than females. That’s nature, not an insult.
Nobody bats an eyelash if someone says “This needs a woman’s touch,” or “Men are insensitive” yet even in an era when women are strong and we can hear them roar, we still dare not say anything that might upset their delicate self esteem.
The NFL would not be the NFL, and the Super Bowl would not be the Super Bowl if they did not bore to the bejeebers any otherwise functioning adult.
That was very interesting. I think the voice actor was born to do the Dear Kitten ads. Agree it’s the same guy who does ‘True Facts About’ [though I didn’t know that until you mentioned it—thanks] but he’s not nearly as good, imho, on those as when he’s the older cat. But that’s just my take.
That money spent on prostitution could have been spent countering the anti-male bias that men complain about with positive ads.
Of course, the fact that billions spent every year on prostitution is enough in itself to make men look like idiots without the help of anti-male ads is probably also lost on you.
About as annoyed as I am by Cris Collinsworth’s voice.
think of all the pizz whine and moaning if a guy was told "it's a girl, sorry..."
feh...
It’s all part of the NFL’s campaign against spousal abuse. The “father” commercial goes right along with them.
Whatever helps you nurse your resentment of men, I suppose.
I am sick of the “Fifty Shades of Gray” commercials.....good God and the liberals complained about American Sniper commercials every two seconds. This movie has nothing on that.
Double ditto.
Yes, I hate men, so I want them to spend their money on MRAs and countering the anti-male bias instead of prostitution. That makes plenty of sense.
They should go make me a sandwich and bring me a beer while wearing some cute shorts.
I’m a female and I hate the anti-male mantra I hear all too often.
When women start talking about how they want to empower women, I totally lose respect for them. How about let’s empower everyone, regardless of their anatomy.
