The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is expected to decide this year whether it will lift protections for some 1,000 grizzlies that scientists say live in the Yellowstone region of Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.

The federal beaucrocrazies likely do not want to give up control and the money to the states.
I have Florida brown bears (a female and two cubs) living behind my property. I certainly look around before venturing outside. The cat has been known to backup at speed, twirl around and flee to the furthest room.
There have been several attacks, though not locally. I’ve moved my trash into the garage. But they still use my property as the access to other’s houses is easier through my land.
The lighter the color the bear, them more dangerous it is.

Global warming! Bush! Palin!
Those are brown color phase of the black bear. Brown bears are grizzlies.
Just for clarity.
BLACK BEARS MATTER!
No grizzlys in my neck of the woods but black bears ain’t exactly puppy dogs either.
Bears are strong enough to smash windows , rip off house siding, break house door locks, and rip open doors of cars.
LOL! Especially when you encounter them up close in the timber.
Dick Cheney’s fault!
Bears are big, strong , and faster than us.
Always bring a slower friend, that you can out run, when hiking.
Male Black bears often weight 500 pounds with records over 1,000 pounds and over 7 feet tall.
There’s some fellas in the Va. blue ridge that use krispy kreme doughnuts for bait to shoot them with a trail cam.
I’m sure you’re right about the fed crats and the money.
It slays me to read these articles about conflicts between grizzlies-humans and then the talk from enviro nuts wanting to reestablish grizzly populations in “remote” areas of California and the Cascades of Washington.
It’s as if these nuts think those grizzlies will stay in the remote areas. Then again they probably are fully aware the bears won’t but it fits their agenda to keep more people off those lands.
One of those little personal pepper spray units works just fine, if you remember to keep it in the shell holder of a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with sabot slugs...
