Do you own an iPhone? Then you're SMARTER than an Android user: Infographic reveals link between education and phone choice
Study found states with more college graduates, such as Alaska and Vermont, have higher iPhone sales
New Mexico, Iowa and Delaware have lowest percentage of iPhone users, and a lower number of graduates
The more densely populated an area, the more chance iPhone sales will be higher, according to the research
Previous study found that iPhone owners are vainer and spend more on clothes than those who have Android
iPhone users have a reputation for being smug and now they may have a good reason.
A recent study has found that people who use an iPhone are smarter than those who prefer Android devices.
This is based on research that found states with more college graduates also tend to have higher iPhone sales.
The study, by Massachusetts-based advertising group Chitika, discovered that Alaska, Montana and Vermont have the largest number of iPhone users in the US.
These states also have the highest percentage of college graduates.
Meanwhile, New Mexico, Iowa and Delaware have the lowest percentage of people who use iPhones, and a lower number of graduates.

Article is associating college education with intelligence - assumption denied.
One of my favorite phrases. :)
Android here too, but only because I’m not savvy about cell phone technology and Walmart had a deal on the phone/plan.
Ah, guess you could actually call me unedumacated then:) I prefer “Could care less about a phone’s capabilities other than for making calls....hate learning techie stuff.
Liberals use colleges as indoctrination centers.
Most college graduates use iPhones.
Therefore, most iPhone users are indoctrinated by liberalism.
See, I can play this game also.
I would think that is proprietary info to the traffic carrier.
I had two iPhones and just switched to Android.
I guess I’m smart x 3 :)
(PS - I would have been happy to stay with Apple but they seem hell-bent on driving their users insane with bloatware OS updates and fixing what isn’t broken).

All of the iphone users i knew are now on Android.
Funny. I’ve seen just the opposite. All of the Android users I knew, have switched to iPhones...and love them.
iPhone 5C user here.
First “smart phone” I had years ago, was a Motorola Que, then a Blackberry w/the goofy little roller ball thingy. Was given discount deal on those phones from my former (real estate) employer. Both had full keyboards. When I quit RE I was “grandmothered” into my sweet (cheap) data/phone plan. Got my first iPhone and never looked back.
I can do EVERYTHING net related from the palm of my hand. And it can always be with me. I can go weeks, and never touch our home computer. Once you master the touchscreen, it’s the easiest system to use—everything makes “sense.”
Why are they trying to feed me a BALONEY sandwich for breakfast?
As if education is any indication....... what dorky assumption.
Just a guess: Apple central servers?
A lot of it was caused by Google’s Game “Ingress”.
It wasn’t available for iPhone to start with, they just ‘Had’ to play it...:)
I’m glad you are enjoying it.
Not being rude ,but that is what it is designed for...: To just work,Perfectly.
Since when is Alaska loaded with college graduates?
Vermont and Montana aren’t leaders in that category either:

(But yeah, iPhones are a relatively expensive, snob-appeal product, whereas Androids are made at all price points, including for the masses.)
Mayonnaise or Ketchup with your fries? :D
What if you use a Windows Phone?
How was intelligence gauged? Could they survive without technology? Because they have smart phone does that make them smart or dependent?
Had an iPhone for years, now have a droid. Not necessarily better just different.
I have 2 higher degrees and what I’ve seen in the process of getting them doesn’t support a strong corelation between intelligence and diplomas,
All that said, Mac users thin they are in an IQ club and the people swayed by such things think owning a MAC or iPhone proves that they are smart.
