'They didn't use any of my ideas': George Lucas says new Star Wars film is not how he envisioned it

George Lucas had already been planning to make a seventh Star Wars film before he sold his company Lucasfilm to Disney. When the auteur handed over his iconic franchise he also gave the studio his plotline for Star Wars: Episode 7. Disney, however, did not use any of the 70-year-old filmmakers ideas for the new installment.

And changed the history too boot. They made clear statements in the first three movies (Episode 4,5,6) that he ignored in the next movies.

And I was sick of the fact he’s a preachy liberal that talks down to people he doesn’t like but personally took every dollar he could get. Episode I was plastered on everything. I even saw toilet paper with young Anikan on it. TOILET PAPER!

It wasn’t Gene Roddenberry, but yes, I liked J.J.’s Star Trek. I know I’m in a real minority.

I went through a bunch of it. I hate smarmy critics like the one that wrote that hitpiece on ROTJ with a zillion nitpicks. What has that critic ever created? Let these assholes who are offended by the torture of droids produce their own epic. The first three were all good with ROTJ being the best of the lot IMO.

And those aren’t nitpicks. They are major points that makes the movie dumb. But, I guess, us fans are going to disagree about such things.
