Two weeks ago, I researched online about what "asymmetrical warfare" is, and then all heck broke loose since that time for two weeks. I got knocked off the internet on the average of every ten minutes, every single day. Internet Explorer had monumental issues, but when I did get on I utilized weather data for my area, then on to FR as usual. But when I was on FR, I would get bumped off AGAIN... I had a tech come to the house to find out whether there was any kind of issue with the internet, and he said there was none that he was picking up--but did say I could just have the internet signal rerouted through the 'phone box' and then through a router I could buy (the previous router was a modem/router combo). Since I have done so, I can now browse and such, but am still encountering a mess of very slow response to search commands, ESPECIALLY when I am seeing to go on to FR.
I had the same problem. I notified the folks at Norton and it took them a few hours to get my pc working as new.
bkmk
Sounds trite, but it is amazing how many problems it will often fix...
1. Power everything down; computer, modem, router, etc.
2. Wait 5 minutes.
3. Power everything up.
Set your Malwarebytes on its toughest settings, including rootkits, and do a complete scan, then do a quick scan with your new Avast with the settings on their toughest mode and then a boot scan with Avast, again with settings on their toughest mode.
If you are finding spyware and viruses, then download Superantispyware free and put the settings on high, “scanning archives”, and all the other toughest, deepest settings, and scan with it.
Always use the toughest deepest settings, and always scan a lot.
Ah, finally an asymmetrical warfare reply. Took ya long enough, jeez.
hmmmmmm
Yes. Government = Google??
I’ve noticed that my YouTube channel and website hits have dropped off dramatically since I’ve started commenting on manmade global warming stories/videos. Theoretically, commenting should create more visitors not less. Seems like some sort of cyber punishment by Google for bucking the party line in a public forum.
Yes, yes it is.
Put the foil tightly around your head and go into the basement.
Stay there for 3 months. It will be different when you come out.

Or call your son, that's what sons are for...
Ive been surfing Internet long enough to notice that sluggish network responses occur when colleges and schools begin new sessions in August / September and after holidays.
Off of what I'm seeing there, I'd probably wipe everything and start over. I've gotten help on Bleeping Computer three times. Once, it was a nightmare called Aurora.
I have 3 .dll files I can't erase and use the internet. I don't seem to have a lot of problems with popups so I will forego wiping the system until I feel I have major problems. I will probably contact my son who is a major computer geek. He can access my computer through a Citrix program and work on it.
20 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound sack maybe.....:o)
No, no problems on my iMac.
I thought not.
:-)
My new mac mini is all i seem to need. Got a super drive to go with it. My kid said i was old.
Works for me.
Thank you.
Yeah. I need to run to God all the time and then I won’t be so paranoid.
