An accountant at a New York ad firm leaped to his death because he was hallucinating that the mannequins at his Manhattan office were chasing him, it was claimed today. David Caquais, 43, opened at window at Catch NY on the fourth floor of a building in Manhattan's Garment District and jumped out about 9pm on January 2. The New York Post reports that Mr Caquais screamed 'They're after me! They're after me!' as he ran around his office and attempted to kick out windows.

This has unquestionably been one of the most frustrating paydays I’ve experienced in a long time.

*sheesh*

I wasn’t feeling good going into it, and now I’m just flat beat up.

*groan*

I didn’t get started until almost 0700, and it was almost 0800 before I got out the door. Then I had to leave again, only to learn when I got home that I had to leave yet one more time. And on top of everything else, my podiatry appointment has been changed to tomorrow morning, rather than at 1400...this is good, but I still need to get my laundry done so I can be home early Thursday before 0700 so I can tell Shawn to be sure to empty the wastebaskets and move the sofa out so he can sweep under it.

He doesn’t move anything. I hate to see the lint. I think the young man is seriously depressed, and that is affecting his performance on the job. So how do I address this?

But seriesly, I’m sorry your day isn’t going well. I lost 1.8 lbs. Tom is being a gigantic pain. Kathleen wouldn’t take a nap.

Have to leave again in 1/2 hour to take Tom and Elen to lifeguard class.

The Highways Agency found over 200 dead crows on the M4 near Bridgend recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared to be from vehicular impacts. However, during analysis it was noted that varying colours of paints appeared on the ...bird's beaks and claws. By analysing these paint residues it was found that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with lorrys, while only 2% were killed by cars. The Agency then hired an Ornithological Behaviourist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills. The Ornithological Behaviourist quickly concluded that when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow to warn of danger. They discovered that while all the lookout crows could shout "Cah", not a single one could shout "Lorry"

See, the problem is that you Brits don’t call your lorries “trucks.”

The piccie helped!

You must be having a bad day in simpatico. I will track that from now on, as it seems the last time I had a bad day, you did, as well. Or you said it first, and I said, “I’m glad I’m not alone...”

The only smart thing I did today was buy a $2.97 bottle of Pink Drink at Wally World. That is improving my outlook tremendously.

While I was at the vet’s this morning, I checked on boarding...$22 a day. *EEEEK* (I will check with other places.) I also found out that to have her groomed with bath, anal, ears and claws is $40. YOIKS!

There is no such thing as MoneyPak any more. Period. GAH!!!

It could have been an okay day, but with Kathleen’s not taking a nap, I feel very edgy, and cold all the way through.

Do check on prices at other locations for cat-boarding, but the Travel Fund will pay for Sparkle’s accommodations.

Time to head back to Monroe. Bill has a class until 9:00 p.m.

I cant see paying top price for the same service I can get for less. I will be checking personally, rather than by phone.

She is making such good progress! I’m a little hesitant about taking her back to the place I got her from. Though another vet’s office will have similar smells, it will have different people. I don’t want to re-traumatize her...

I was going to run Mr. Bill through the car wash today, but I wasn’t sure if I would have enough to buy everything I needed to get. Still, he is pretty dirty...

Busdaddy keeps saying, “I have a hose and all the stuff you need,” but he just doesn’t get it: If I felt up to doing it, I would have all the stuff I needed to get it done. The faucet is close enough that I could wash it in the parking lot if I felt up to it. *sheesh*

If I felt up to doing it,

This is why I have a grey truck.

Ah. Then you know my white truck on FB...I really need some minions to get after it with the rubbing compound so it looks decent...

And something to brighten the head and taillights...and maybe a good interior cleaning...and...

But what the heck...it was a gift from Sionnsar’s widow, so I will try to keep complaints to a minimum...it’s just that I want it to look SO GOOD!
