They locked themselves out and figured if Santa can get down the chimney, why can’t I?

They were not aware that there was a step over the flue.

No but some do win the “Hide and seek” contest when someone finds them a few weeks/months/years later. (^;

You know I went and looked that up — and all my life I have been calling the damper a flue. But then, I never was the brightest crayon in the pencil shed.

LOL, I didn't mean you! I meant idiots who try to crawl down the things. Actually, I was thinking of the damper anyway, because flues come with dampers for as long as I remember.

LOL, peace out!

It was gruesome, but true...

Whenever I think back on that death, I still get the willies...Like right now...

Hope he died quick...

Has anybody ever ( even in a TV sitcom ) succeeded in entering a house by the chimney ?

When she sees the bills and the loss of her home, she’ll wish that she’d stayed there and rotted.

There’s a lot of it going around. Does anyone ever actually get in that way?

Horrible story. If the building was a grocery store why didn’t anyone notice the smell of the dead body? Even if the bottom of the chimney was bricked up the smell would have been all around the building it seems to me.

People do wierd stuff without a thought as to what could go wrong...

It is pretty much a right of passage, Most of us survive this period of our lives by the grace of God.

Nearly all of us at that age are blissfully unaware of our mortality. This fact is often utilized by generals and despots to send teenagers to war.
