Might as well stop buying it right now.

vineyard owners are ditching these grape varieties in favour of those that are better equipped to handle the increases in global temperature.
How do the grapes know what the "global" temperature is? We've been told that North America is an anomaly with these cold winters and cool summers. In any event, the global temperature hasn't changed in well over a decade anyway. I think it is an attempt to create artificial demand.

The vineyards of France will move north to Ireland. France will stop producing wine because it will become a Muslim country.

Funny, some of the best Pinot grapes grow in Oregon. And their weather/climate is just fine, thank you. Wet. But not warmer.

Well couldn’t England start growing Pino Noir grapes if temperatures in England were to rise?

“Climate change” is not the “it’s magic” of everything.
Use it to explain everything.

So they’re ditching the grapes because they think they won’t do well? That’s just perfect. It’s supposed to be snowing in Lawrence right now. They predicted it yesterday.

I’d be prone to suspecting that Pinot Noir would just be grown further north if this were actually a truthful account. You know, like during the early Middle Ages when Greenland was named Greenland and vineyards were planted where glaciers are at present. But, it’s not a truthful account.

As I expected, this article is not based on consulting vineyard owners or statistical analysis, but is based on the greenie fantasies of one jerk:
“In her study, wine industry consultant Kimberly Nicholas, associate professor of sustainability science at Lund University in Sweden, wrote: Climate change is beginning to affect the singular flavours that people expect from different wines - the experience you come to know and trust from your favourite reds and whites.”

Yep, it’s all over for Pinot Noir. Or at least that’s what I’d be saying if I grew the stuff and wanted to make sure the price goes up.

Weather has always had an effect on vineyards and wine production, not to mention wine quality. Warmer weather that began at the end of the mini ice age had an effect on the wine business, as will the cooling trend that is getting underway.

Anything where they use Glo-bull warming as an excuse for.....they are lying.
I was in the grocery store when my 8-year old son asks if there is such a thing as organic milk, I said there was, and that organics was a hoax like global warming....you should have seen the looks of daggers I got from people (women) for telling him that...it was priceless.
