Laughing at your ‘loss of days’. I lost 5 days while sick and it’s a funny feeling. Good to know what day it is now - although it is rainy and very cold outside. Happy day to you both.

Beautiful post Amy. Wondering if you are getting that terribly cold weather I’ve read about out your way. Take care.

Happy New Year, Potlatch. So good to hear that you are feeling better. Awful time of the year to get sick. I’ve been really tired but not ill.
BTW: I loved your skating Peanut graphic.
We have been having really cold weather. I’ve been trying to cover plants while hubby and son have covered orange trees and have left water running at night.
Our cold weather doesn’t compare to what others are having but for us these 24deg nights are miserable.

Happy New Year to you too Amy! I had a recurrence of the digestive problem I had months ago, hopefully I won’t have repeated attacks again, lol. You are always so busy so I understand your tiredness. Hope you find time to relax now.
Thank you about my Peanuts graphic. I really put a lot of time into that one, but it gets my mind off of all the world troubles for a spell.
I used to have oodles of potted plants and hanging baskets and would get them all inside a building before a freeze. In the last few years I just take care of the more rare and favorite ones. I have a “Pony-Tail palm that is taller than the roof of my patio and just can’t move it anymore. Lost an orange tree years ago. I have found flannel lined plastic tablecloths good for covering things I can’t move. I use lots of clothes-pins. Take care of yourself! ((HUGS))

I Am Redeemed!
One day when Ann was visiting her husband in the hospital, she began talking with a caregiver who was assisting him. Ann enjoys engaging people in conversation wherever she is, and she also looks for ways to talk to people about Jesus. Ann asked the caregiver if he knew what he wanted to do in the future. When he said he wasnt sure, she suggested that its important to know God first so He can help with such decisions. He then pulled up the sleeve of his shirt to reveal I am redeemed! tattooed across his arm.
They realized that they shared a mutual love for the Lord Jesus Christ! And both had found ways to show their faith in the One who died to give us life.
The title of an old song by Steve Green says it best: People need the Lord. Its up to us to find ways to share the good news with them (Ps. 40:9). Not everyone feels comfortable talking to strangers, and there is no one-size-fits-all method. But God will use our personalities and His light in us to spread His love.
I am redeemed! Lets allow God to guide us to find ways to tell others about Jesus Christ, our Redeemer!
Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy
His child, and forever I am. Crosby
The good news of the gospel is too good to keep to ourselves.
David had been through some tough times when he wrote Psalm 40, but God had answered his cries for help and deliverance (vv.1-2,12). Testifying to Gods faithfulness, goodness, and greatness, David calls on the congregation to join him in praising God (v.16). Knowing Gods requirement that the king of Israel personally know and fully obey Gods law (v.7; see Deut. 17:18-20), David recommits himself to knowing Gods Word and doing His will (Ps. 40:8). Thousands of years later, the writer of Hebrews quotes Psalm 40:6-8 and applies the words to Jesus (Heb. 10:5-7), affirming Christs total obedience to the Father when He came to this world as a man.

FOG
THE fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
