~Happy Relaxin' Caturday ~ Dogurday~
To Amy's Place
Raccoons( I'm sure ) knocked down my bird feeder during the
night so I got out in freezing mist to fill and put it up again.
It's chilly out there.
Stay warm and enjoy your day.

Raccoons can be very scary!
I walked to the mall with Lynn-Dah-the-Dawg a few weeks ago, and thought there might be a path through the woods to shorten my journey home, as I was now carrying bags and didn’t want to take the long route.
As I approached the darkened woods it became a scene from “Snow White”, when I saw about twenty pairs of glowing eyes staring at me from out of the darkness!
I realized that it was sunlight, reflecting on the outer membrane of the eyes of over Twenty raccoons...and they had been alerted to our presence!
Lynn-Dah and I took the LONG way home after all.

"Well, thats something we will never be quite sure about, Bob...." Oh, you don't have to take my word for it. You can ask any of the original witnesses to ... um.
Okay, none of them are around any more, so forget that. I guess you would have to take my word for it, except that I'm not saying.

Days in Heaven
There are no days in Heaven,
The way they are down here,
For one could just as well observe,
It’s like another year.
As worlds go spinning ‘round a bit,
And wobble to and fro,
From Heaven’s point of view, you see,
It’s just a picture show.
We see the images so clear,
Of children in new clothes,
And celebrations come again,
That give a chance to pose.
But in between that frozen time,
You stare at a glassy eye,
To take a picture, hold that pose!
We’ve millions in the sky.
The images of blinking lid,
As it slowly descends,
To wipe the dust off, one more time,
From your recording lens.
And glacially, the smile that grows,
Like apples in their time,
As you perceive a moment dear,
That you may think sublime.
From Heaven’s point of view, there is,
No moment like another,
For every nanosecond there,
Has one to be its mother.
And time flows on, from here to there,
Unbroken in its path,
Recording all of it would be
Well, you can do the math.
But every moment is well known,
To those who watch, and see,
The times that come to those below,
Such measured steps to be.

Happy Caturday/Dogurday, FRiends.
Looks like another miss by the weatherman/woman.
So far we've had a few sprinkles and a cloudy night and morning.
Farmers are going to be in a real bind this year.
Pray for lots of rain in the San Joaquin Valley.
Oh Well .... maybe next time.

Catching Up With Us Learn The Cost
March 1, 2015
Read:
1 Peter 1:17-21 | Bible in a Year:
Numbers 23-25; Mark 7:14-37
We gave our 2-year-old son a pair of new boots recently. He was so happy that he didnt take them off until it was bedtime. But the next day he forgot all about the boots and put on his old sneakers. My husband said, I wish he knew how much things cost.
The boots were expensive, but a young child doesnt know about working hours, salaries, and taxes. A child receives the gifts with open arms, but we know that he cant be expected to fully appreciate the sacrifices his parents make to give him new things.
Sometimes I behave like a child. With open arms I receive Gods gifts through His many mercies, but am I thankful? Do I consider the price that was paid so I can live a full life?
The cost was expensivemore than corruptible things, like silver or gold. As we read in 1 Peter, it required the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (1:18-19). Jesus gave His life, a high price to pay, to make us part of His family. And God raised Him from the dead (v.21).
When we understand the cost of our salvation, we learn to be truly thankful.
Lord, help me to understand, to take in what it meant for You, the Holy One, to bear my sin. Remind me to give You thanks for salvation and for all the ways You show me Your love throughout my day today.
Salvation is infinitely costly, but absolutely free.
