What, no flamboyant characters?

These ten films are not remotely the worst films of 2014, but their respective artistic failures were the most disappointing.
This is arguably the most subjective list of my year-end wrap up, with the caveat that of course all of my "best/worst" lists are as subjective as any critical analysis. None of the films on this list belong anywhere near a "worst-of" rundown, but in some ways they were more explicitly dissatisfying than the actual films I chose as the "worst" or "least favorite" films of 2014. Some were genuinely bad, some were mostly good save for a few key artistic stumbles, and all arguably represented either the tragic letdown of a much-anticipated project or a failure in execution of what looked like a surefire winner on paper. The first nine are in alphabetical order, followed by the so-called "biggest disappointment of 2014." And here we go...

There were several potentially habitable planets on the other side of the wormhole the aliens put in our solar system.
One of them turned out to be habitable, but several explorers died.
The weaker part of the plot was the time warp connection back to earth and the endless “love conquers space and time” conversations.
I liked the limits on the honesty setting and adjustable humor setting.
A robot that could alter its configuration for various tasks, including rescuing humans, was actually innovative and useful.
I thought “Interstellar” was great science fiction. The background music was too loud at times, but the plot, acting and videography was outstanding.
If any of you consider “Star Wars” to be great science fiction, then you shouldn’t see “Interstellar”, because there aren’t any aliens or shoot-em-up scenes.

One other person watching last night liked it as well.
I just found it uncreative and a forced energy from Franco, hecause the whole thing lacked tempo.
But, I also can’t stand chocolate cake.

So did I. I thought it was a nice sci-fi vision of how Interstellar travel could happen. For me, the only problem is that the ending dragged out, and that made it more difficult to understanding what were scientific concepts that related to the fantasy.
It was. How it opened is part of the plot. Wormhole was permanent, probe info went through it.
I think you do care to see it. Really it’s a good movie if you’re into that kind of Nolan doesn’t really make sense until you’ve thought about it a bit movie.

Oh I know. If I gave the impression they go back in time, I’m sorry. They didn’t and didn’t even attempt it.

Yes, and also it had the most personality and laugh lines in the movie. Best supporting actor!
I don’t know about everyone else but it was exactly what i expected from Hollywood.

I watched a little bit of it just to see what all the fuss was about. Believe me when I say this; it is a vile, disgusting, classless advertisement for Rogen and Franco’s obvious homosexuality and obsession with male genitals and what they do with their private (maybe public) parts. If you like the fat naked guy in Borat rubbing his butt cheeks all over your face you will love it. If you’re a decent human being with even a smidgen of class you’ll hate it and wish you had a stick to poke your eyes out after watching even 5 minutes of it.
I saw the Gambler. Didn’t like the excessive profanity. It could have delved into sex and nudity, but chose not to, except for one very brief scene of a stripper, which had a purpose other than to show strippers.
The preview was the exact opposite of what the previews suggested. I was expecting like Oceans 11 or a gangster movie. Nah, it was about whether a seriously depressed dirtbag with a gambling problem could change and avoid being cut to pieces by all the people he owes money too.
It was a great film
Whoops! I said “the preview... preview,” I meant “The movie... preview.” The preview for the gambler made the movie look like a freaking action drama. Even had music for it. The entire mood of the movie encouraged contemplation, actually.
I liked it as well. In fact I think it tops 2001 Space Odyssey as the best film.
I still chuckle at Nolan’s jab at Dr. Mann (hockey stick guy).
Doesn’t matter which one is the clone.

One of the most annoying characters I’ve ever seen in movies.
Meh. As long as I have Garbage Pail Kids and Howard the Duck on Betamax I don’t need to go to the movies.
