So, like, I’m a friendly person, wouldn’t hurt a fly, but when this jerk neighbor of mine said that global warming was a liberal fantasy I tried to reason with him. I told him the Arctic ice was melting, the polar bears were dying and the sea was rising but he kept spouting out stuff about records and trends and totally irrelevant things like water vapor, sunspots and volcanos. I’m well educated and I read the news. I never heard of any of the stuff he was throwing out. What B.S. How can you argue with a fool like that. I said “Whatever!” and left him to swill in his own stupid opinion and I’ve been fuming about it for days, now. I hate him.
Then I saw him talking to another neighbor, who I love, but who isn’t as attentive to current events as I am. As soon as I could I told her what an intolerant jerk he is and then gave her the facts. She thought he was nice and didn’t know how bad he is, so I filled her in. I think I showed her the real truth but I didn’t get to finish before she excused herself due to some appointment she’d almost forgotten about and had to hurry off to. She’s a nice person, but just not too switched on.
So, yesterday afternoon there was a block party and, naturally, the jerk was there. I can’t believe how gullible my neighbors were. They spoke to him. I saw them laughing. They seemed to like him, which was infuriating. Even the neighborhood minorities seemed to enjoy talking to him. I definitely had my work cut out for me.
So I made sure that I got them aside and let them know all about the jerk. I really filled them in on his flag waving, church going, racist, Republican voting ways and especially on his stupid climate denial. And when he had the gall to come up to me and say “hello” I said, “whatever”, and left him standing there like an idiot.
People like that should be thrown in jail. They are too intolerant to be among us. All they do is criticize, deny, and hate.
It is so frustrating to be so enlightened, and for so many around me not to realize it.

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet’
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.
