The compassion shown by Officer William Stacy to desperate Alabama mother Helen Johnson captured the nation's attention at a time of strained relations between the police and black Americans. Instead of arresting her for stealing five eggs to feed her starving family on Saturday, Stacy bought the carton and the touching hug they shared afterwards caught on video by a stunned passer-by went viral. But it got even better on Wednesday when Officer Stacy and some colleagues arrived at 47-year-old Johnson's home with two truckloads of food to keep her and her children and grandchildren fed through Christmas.

Officer’s compassion is commendable, certainly. However, examination of the first picture in this UK story (the only news that doesn’t get filtered by Ozealot MSM) shows a small child playing with a what appears to be a jug of bleach and some kind of cleaner on the floor behind them.

Oh no, no, no!! Can’t let this story get out. It’ll destroy the mantra of how blacks are ignored and are the targets of every white police officer in the country!......(sarc off). I’ll bet the farm there are more officers like this one than the press and the race baiters would have have you believe. Wonderful story, wonderful man and God bless all of those involved. I seriously doubt the family was starving. I can’t believe any story put forth by the media from any country. You simply can’t take the word of a member of the liberal media at face value. If the events of the past year have shown us, liberals can never be trusted to tell the truth...about anything.
If you read the article her monthly welfare check was lost in the mail so she was out of money to buy food.
Agreed. Starving? I don’t think so.
Food stamps provides about a hundred bucks per person per month.
Schools provide bk and lunch 5 days a week (no deduction from EBT for that).
Our little podunk county has 27 (count ‘em) private food banks.
I struggle with the constant references in the media to people “going to bed hungry every night”.

There are many reasons, but sometimes the system is just overwhelming to them and they fall through the cracks. Early in my career, I thought I was really helping people and then came to feel that I was setting some up for failure. I could only bend the rules so far and no one above wanted to hear what the frontline workers had to say about making real changes.”
It’s unfortunate that she doesn’t at least seek help from a church affiliated organization. Perhaps this charitable act will help lead her there.
Police Do Care:
I get irritated when people come down on our police officers, saying that they don't care about or respect others.
Well, here is a story that clearly shows that police do care, respect, and have compassion for people.
This story involves the police department in the small hill country town of Kerrville, Texas who reported finding a man's body last Saturday in the early evening in the Pedernales River near the state highway-87 bridge. The dead man's name would not be released until his family had been notified.
The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption while "visiting someone" in Fredericksburg.
He was wearing black fishnet stockings, 10 inch spiked heels, a red garter belt, a pink thong, purple lipstick, dazzle dust on his eyelids, 2 1/2 inch false eyelashes and an “I Love Obama” T-shirt.
The police removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.
So there ........................
Texas police do care.
After this publicity you hope that someone steps up to straighten out her situation. Of course there’s churches and then there’s churches... sorry to say but a lot of black churches exist for the benefit of the “Reverend”.
