Four teams in playoff:
1: 'Bama
2: Oregon
3: FSU
4: THE Ohio State University
I think TCU got stiffed.
That being said, I am a long-time ‘Bama fan (going back to the 1960s). I don’t much care for OSU , but I do like coach Urban Meyer. I despise Oregon and FSU, though I despise Oregon just a shade less.
It happens a lot, especially in Bowl Games.
Bama didn’t show up against Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl last year, too many players were more concerned about not getting hurt and jeopardizing their NFL careers at that point.
Wisconsin better man up in its bowl game. They laid down and died out there...pathetic.
I am speculating what would happen if the Big XII broke up and how the four conferences would look.
The SEC and Big Ten would then have 18 teams each, and would then be broken into three divisions, then take the three division winners plus the highest rated second-place team, and have a two-tiered playoff to determine the conference champion. With the Conference Champion going to the National Semi-Final.

ACC then would add Notre Dame.
The message from the committee was that the Big 12 needs two more teams so that they can have a conference championship game.
The playoff system dictates now there be four mega-conferences, the Big XII will be the odd man out.
Jameis is looking forward to shoplifting some Dungeness Crabs.
Why is that everyone understood with the realignments going on in the last few years, that conference championships would be key to moving towards a playoff format, and everyone moved things around to make that happen? Everyone except the Big Twelve, and now they are whining that the system changed? It did, and we all knew it was changing.
I feel sorry for both TCU and Baylor. They are both good teams. However, it doesn’t mean that the committee is corrupt, or that the Big Ten is corrupt. It means we have a new system. Whether we like it or not, all of the conferences have had to change in the last few years, and like you’re saying, more changes will be coming.
Because the Orange Bloods couldn't handle not being the big dogs anymore, that's why.
End of story.
...refresh my memory...what two six loss teams did TCU play, losing to one of them at home by two touchdowns, and requiring double overtime to eke by the other...?
...eagerly await the answer...
At the end of the day, it is still nearly-grown men playing a childs game that has absolutely nothing to do with the education that an individual attains at any school. Just paid entertainers.
...modern professors have even less to do with the education one attains at any school...
Vegas has Oregon favored over FSU by 8 1/2 points.
My prediction is Oregon by 17 points; and maybe much more.
Really?
I don’t care if FSU is undefeated, all their close wins and beating Georgia Tech by only 2 does not warrant their inclusion in the Final Four; and certainly not a move from #4 to #3.
Baylor and TCU got screwed. Take a look at the number of students enrolled at each and how many alumni Ohio State has. It’s not difficult to figure out.
Oregon will destroy FSU. The FSU defense was fatigued late in the 1st half against Georgia Tech. Imagine what it will be like by the middle of the 3rd quarter against Oregon.
I’m a big fan of the Sagarin ratings (partly because he’s local guy and a buddy knows him).
In the Sagarins FSU is rated #15.
Georgia Tech lost to FSU because of two horrible pass coverage breakdowns. That will not happen with Oregon. That can happen when your team depends almost exclusively on the running game. That
FSUs successful run option plays will not catch Oregon by surprise since Oregon runs it as well as any team. Oregons defensive backfield has at least three future high draft picks; including the best cornerback in the country.
FSU will not be able to stop Oregons pass offense, and Oregon will get their best receiver back prior to playing FSU.
“The Buckeyes deserved it by far”
Ohio State has barely been ranked in the top 10 the majority of the season. They were selected because of their name recognition and fan base. TCU was robbed. How in the hell are you ranked #3 five days ago, beat your opponent by 50 points and drop 3 spots in the rankings. Bring back the BCS. This playoffs system is too much politics.

BTTT!
Which other top 10 team gave up 61 points?
They didn't lose to a 6 loss team, but they did give up 61 points in their loss.
They also barely squeaked by Kansas, who is 3-7.
Hell, even the LONGHORNS beat Kansas 23-0.
Like I said, end of story.
