Its not unheard of for two bucks to be seen with their antlers locked together after a battle. Tales have even been told of hunters rescuing a live deer locked with a dead one. But what is a little more odd is when two deer get locked not by their antlers, but by something else. In the case of the video below, that something else was a nylon rope, and the two deer needed the help of a Texas game warden.

How long would the blood have to be there? Would the scent wear off over time?
After a while the deer will avoid the area from habit.

My grandmother suggested fencing our apple trees so the deer didn’t get them. I said I would rather eat the deer anyway.
As I read that part, my first thought was -- Please Lord, not another LGBTEIEIO queer story.
They might have bothered a few on the lower limbs, but I have never caught them.
The bushy tail rats on the other hand were routinely parked out there from July - August, often 2 or 3 at a time. I tried tin plates, and other deterrents with no luck. Suckers would gnaw on the stems, drop the pears, and haul some of them off, believe it or not in their mouths.
One morning earlier this July, I put the lawn chair out there a waited to pick one off. Then I flew him like a flag between 2 high branches. Wife wasn't too happy about it, but at least we had pear pie this year.
